    Consistently awesome

Mussels and steak sandwich are the standout items. Quirky and eclectic interior is clever without being annoying and there is a fire place for cold nights.

    Robin Des Awesome

My boyfriend (who is a sioux chef) and I are major foodies. Living in Cobble Hill, there is no limit to the amount of places one can find great food. But when we want to really get down we head over to Robin Des Bois. The decor with its early 60's velvet pinups, lifesize Virgin Marys and python skin tacked to the ceiling is, in and of itself, enough to make me want to move in. However, the freiendly staff and the food are also exceptional. I have tried all of the fish dishes (the salmon is awesome) but the steak was cooked to perfection and the pork cutlets were to die for. There is also a great wine list with some fair priced bottles, and a fab bar.

    L-O-V-E!!

I truely love this restaurant. The service is kind of slow, but I'd rather have that than pushy-hurry-up-and-get-out service. It's cash only, which is a bummer. We started out with a meat and cheese and fruit platter - wonderful! Then dinner salads, then shared dinner (the roasted chicken - ended up with enough for 3 people) and shared dessert. Needless to say, we were in for a long meal, which was fine by us. We were left alone to eat (thank you!) and enjoy our conversation. The wines we picked out (with staff assistance) matched well with our meal choices, which is always nice. We are definately going back with friends and family.

    I love Robin Des Bois

I'm a local and I love this place. I always take friends from out of town or from Manhanttan and have never had a bad review from them. The cheese plate is fabulous and the wine inexpensive. Enjoy!

    Great garden, average food

I have come to this restaurant a handful of times, split between dinner and brunch. I have found the dinner to be disappointing for the most part, although it is relatively inexpensive and the atmosphere is good. When the weather is nice there is a fantastic back garden, which in itself makes the trip worthwhile.

    Good neighborhood bistro

Decent value for good, basic French bistro food. I usually get the roast chicken with garlicky haricots verts and mashed potatoes. It's been delicious 4 out of 5 times, only once it was dry. It has great atmo...my only reservation is that I've never had a good glass of wine here. I tend to stick to the beer. Fun summer garden place, good for a small crowd.
