    All around goodness

We randomly picked this place just because the atmosphere looked nice. The food was delicious and the staff was so patient with us. Everything looked so good, i'll have to be back again to try other dishes. Great experience

    Beautiful Food

We finished watching the NYC Marathon and were hungry. We walked on 9th and had a gut feeling Roberto Passion would be a good choice. The service was top notch, the wine choice excellent and the food beautiful. We asked for fresh fruit for dessert which wasn't on the menu and was presented with a lovely plate of fresh peeled fruit. The surprise ending that the price was fair for what we had. Life is beautiful in NYC. Thank you Roberto Passion.

    ABOSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!

I went to this restaurant on a friend's suggestion and I'm still thanking him. The food was amazing, I had the salmon and it was delicious. The atmosphere was great and I felt like being in Italy. The chef is Italian and my waiter was Italian and the manager is Italian as well, and the music was Italian too. That's what I call an ITALIAN restaurant!!:)

    Great food, but too noisy

Pluses - great Italian food. Minuses - only Italian wines, and limited selection by the glass if you are not into getting a bottle; also they were out of one of the selections by the glass. The biggest minus is the acoustics - all hard surfaces, so even half full the noise level was uncomfortable. Our waitress mis-heard our order and brought the wrong item. If they can soften the sound level I would make this a regular haunt.

    very happy

i had picked this from another website. the reviews here were mixed. went with friends last sunday night before a show. had a 5:15 reservation. lovely table by the window, thought the place was cozy and adorable, loved the brick wall and big windows. the food was excellent, we had the beet salad, crab cakes, beef carpaccio for appetizers. main course my husband and i always share two dishes, we had the striped bass and the pasta w/veal ragu, both were very good. service was great although the restaurant was not that crowded until we left. definite recommendation from me and i am hard to please, my friends really enjoyed it also.

A rip! So many better Italian places

I took my parents here recently on the recommendation of a friend and was completely disappointedand embarrassed at its mediocrity. The food was all rather bland, except for the orzo e fagioli soup, which was extra salty. But the worst was the servicefrom start to finish. The hostess was on the phone when we arrived and wouldn't even look at us or say "one moment," so we hung up our own coats and were eventually seated by a bus boy. Our waiter was soooo slow and when he did appear was completely bored and apathetic. In the end, we all decided to communicate our displeasure by docking part of his tip.

Brunch was great - service a bit slow...

My family and friends tried this neighborhood spot last Sunday for brunch and were pleasantly surprised. A very "organic" decor and comfortable seating got everything off to a great start. 4 out of 5 dishes ordered were enjoyed by all and at a very reasonable price. The bread and butter/jam and mini-muffins are a nice touch as well. Unlimited mimosa for $8 - not bad. Would definitely recommend brunch/lunch to anyone looking to try a new spot.
