A must try
I went there for lunch yesterday with my department and DeGrezia has now been added to my favorites. The ambiance, the waiters in suits, the wonderful service and the delicious food all five stars! I’ve already made a reservation for dinner with my husband for tomorrow night!

Great birthday celebration
We had a very intimate birthday celebration in July at DeGrezia. The food was delicious, the service was extraordinary and the owner and staff couldn't have been more fabulous to work with. We all had a wonderful, fun night. It was a special birthday and you all made it very memorable for me, my family and our friends! Great job!

Same Cake Issue!
I had the same experience as the reviewer below was here to celebrate an event and they brought out a cake without anyone asking. They split the small cake into many pieces and then charged us by the piece! It totaled over $100 for a tiny cake that would cost $15 at a bakery. ABSOLUTELY OUTRAGEOUS. The food was okay, but not great definitely not worth the price. Seriously, I've had better chicken at the diner around the corner! The guests who were not drinking were repeatedly pressured to order a drink and given sub-par service when they did not. To top it off, an extra entre that no one ordered and no one received was added to our bill I guess they thought they could just slip it in to such a large bill. Most absurd dining experience of my life. Avoid this place like the plague. The food isn't anything special and the management is nearly criminal.

Taken for a ride if you are tourist
The food was better than average, but for the price you pay, you can find another restaurant just as good if not better, I would not be complaining about the price if the service was good. The busboy was good. The waiter wasn't. In lieu of tap water, we were offered flat water in a bottle. We were not even offered softdrinks. We wanted a wine that was from 2003 and they brought us the bottle from 2004 telling us it was the same. We went in to celebrate a birthday. The waiter brought out an approximately 6 inch brownie cake that we did not ask for. At first we thought it was a nice gesture but when the check came, we were charged $120.45 for it because they charged per person. Picture the size of each piece when it was split into 11 pieces. We were ask do you want to share but was never told it would be charged per piece nor were we even offered a dessert menu in lieu of sharing. They probably thought we were tourists until we told them we were locals. To appeased us, they charged us $65.70 instead for the cake. I have never felt so cheated in my life.

Goodfellas
Came in Fri Aug. 3rd. Food was great especially the veal chop but the fella singin was awesome just like some of the scenes from the "Goodfellas" movie. Will definely return. Hope they hang onto the entertainment!

Better than average
This is a very nice restaurant. Here's my experience. First, we were warmly greeted even though we were unknown. I liked that. We found the food only slightly better than just okay, although the portions were quite good. Prices are expensive especially the drinks. We spent a lot of money and were disappointed in not being offered an after dinner drink or one round on the house. All in all, we'd go back, but we'll keep trying different Italian restaurants until we find some that are better than this one.

Great food / Poor service
My husband just took me here for a special lunch today (previously made reservations). We ordered the papardelle and fruitte di mare pasta entrees and they were truly delicious - very fresh and flavorful (quite possibly one of the best Italian restaurants in the city). However, on a not-so-good note, we were *not* impressed with the service. The wait staff were busy tending to the business lunch clientele, and eventually made their way to take our drink & food order. They also came across pompous (not appreciated). The food took more time than we expected to arrive at our table, but considering the quality of the meal I was ok with the wait. Prices are also fairly steep. If you're up for dealing with potentially snobby service and paying in the $20's for a pasta dish, then the trip to DeGrezia for the food is definitely worth it.
