My husband Ramon who is Cuban native born. Was weary about going to a Cuban Resturant because they all claim to be authentic. I prayed to God for a place that is not to far that served real authentic Cuban food and with a Cuban atmosphere. Well God answers prayer and I thank God my husband and little daughter were wiling to try a Cuban Resturant again... They passed the test we all were so spoiled rotten and pleased with the whole evening dinner . The food ,owner, waiters, customers and yes the birthday surprises were all a delight. We are going back very soon with family and close friends from church. God Bless

Wow! Was passing through the area and decided to get my hands on some great local ethnic food - came here based on high reviews and it did not disappoint!!! Food 5 stars - Ropa Vieja with sweet plantains and moros y cristianos, oxtail stew with yuca con mojo - Wow! Also had the criollo app which was great, but did not pair well with out food. Value 5 stars - Huge portions and we paid less than $40 for the whole meal (take out). We stuffed ourselves and had enough food leftover for breakfast the next morning. Service 5 stars - smiles from start to finish. Incredibly friendly staff. We had our food in less than 20 minutes. Atmosphere 3.5 stars - small, narrow dining area, but this in no way detracts from the experience. Great decor for Cuban vibes. Joint was packed at 7:30 on a Friday. Hands down best Cuban I've ever had and is now in my top 5 NY restaurants. I live in Greenpoint/Williamsburg and I can't wait to come back! The commute is more than worth it. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.
