Rickshaw Dumpling Bar

We highly recommend this place. It was clean and service is fast. Seating is limited though. Our group tried the dumplings every way. One with a salad, one in soup and one fried. All were excellent. We each had a chocolate dumpling for dessert. You MUST get the chocolate dumpling. Eat with caution though, the chocolate inside may squirt out all over! Service was fast, but not too friendly. And have your order sorted out before you step up to the cash register, they don't appreciate waiting. However, the food more than makes up for the service. Even with all the restaurants to choose from, I would definitely return.

Clean, fast, good yet salty is what describes it. The dumplings are good on their own but the broth (I had the shitake mushroom soup, and found one slice of a mushroom) is overpowering with sodium flavor rather than mushroom. The dumplings are very tasty and flavorful. I would definitely go back, since the portion is quite generous and the price reasonable. Service is quick but without a smile, so just get the dumplings and go because there isn't much space to eat anyway.

I just discovered this place. Seems clean, cute space, people are friendly and dumplings are perfectly cooked. If you dont like salt, beware, are, the soups/broths are very, very salty. The shimp dumplings are good, Tried the veggie, and they are just ok. I will go back to the shrimp, as I don't eat meat, so that pretty much rules out the other items. Overall, good, semihealthy food at decent price.

I just came from Rickshaw and ordered the Peking Duck dumplings with salad and lemonade. The duck dumplings were amazing. I love peking duck and this place did it great justice. Very flavorful food and the salad was very crisp. The lemonade as a bit to sweet for my taste. My only complaint is the lack of spaced our seating. The place has a massive area to take orders, but you have to sit really close to people in the small seating area. Other than that small rant, the food was amazing. Will go there again whenever I am in the 23rd st area.

i went in with my best friend and we ordered the chicken and shrimp dumplings... totally amazing and the sauce was a perfect compliment to the little ones:) the we tried the chocolate dumplings, we only got one bc he is a health freak, so i took and bit and then he did and then i finished it... needless to say this health freak man was argueing over who had the most chocolate dumpling.... we still argue to this day about it but one thing we can agree on is that they are GREAT...... i secretly go there and get three and not share

I just went here for lunch and had the pork dumplings in soup and the chocolate dumpling for dessert. The chocolate dumpling, as everyone has said, is AMAZING. Really great. The pork dumplings however are WAY WAY too salty. I could only eat two and had to throw the rest away. I can't vouch for the rest of the dumplings, but I strongly suggest against getting the pork ones. The soup it was in was good, but I wouldn't opt for them unless you really like big balls of salt.

I ate at Rickshaw today and had the classic pork and chive dumplings with a salad. The dumplings were perfectly cooked, and had just the right amount of filling. The flavor was good, but way too salty.
