These are not good dumplings. I don't know what's worse, the thick chewy skin or the tasteless brick of filling. I'll take that back, actually. The filling had a taste - an unpleasant one. I made it through two of these atrocities and literally jumped on the subway to chinatown for some nicely cooked, thin skinned pork and chives. I am SO OVER rickshaw!!

I love dumplings and was so looking forward to the visit here. I even splurged on "a sampler" of 6 for over $9 (at $1.50 per piece!). With the exception of the vegetarian dumpling, they were oddly similar. More importantly, while I waited for the assembly of the plate, I felt the cool air conditioning cooling my dumplings. Phooey on cold dumplings. The sauces had to provide whatever flavor could be gleaned from the array. So disappointing. I'll stick to Chinatown.

The duck dumplings are great. The second time I had them they were a little greasy, but the flavor was still spot on. I also ate the shitaki mushroom soup, which was GREAT. It was FULL of flavor and FULL of shitakis, veggies, and noodles. They definitely didn't skimp on the soup! Delicious.

I used to come here all the time and I loved the juicy dumplings and fresh salad. This time, I saw the guy shallow frying my dumplings in about an inch of oil, and yet, they stuck anyway and he served them to me, every one broken open. This is not how you prepare panfried dumplings? When did they start not properly preparing their dumplings. It made me depressed. I really used to look forward to going here. Please be cool again.

From the ambience to the aroma and modern architecture, Rickshaw never fails us. We dont want to go on and on about Rickshaw, we just recommend that you come on down to one of their awesome locations and dine already!

Today I went once again to Rickshaw (23rd St) for lunch. I tend to gravitate toward the Thai dumplings and found them, as I always do, delicious and satisfying. yes, it is a drag you can't mix and match, but that keeps things moving fast, which I also appreciate. I can't believe the negative reviews. Are we talking about the same place? I am VERY fussy about restaurants and have to say that even though this is a "fast food" place, it is one of the best at what it sets out to do, and just can't even imagine the kind of negatives this place seems to garner. Just my $.02.

This place is ok, the dumplings are good and so are the salads. The place is squeaky clean, a worker was actually bleaching the chairs when we were there. Its a good bang for your buck when you want a quick little meal. I will go back
