Too bad you can't eat the walls!

What a disappointment. When we first stumbled upon this "chic rice pudding joint", we were so impressed. Since I am an interior designer, I fell in love with the space. I should have left it at that. The rice pudding though creative in flavors was extremely avergae in taste! Great packaging and marketing concept but as far as food is concerned...not worth it! After all, this is rice pudding here. It's not rocket science to make!

    Rice to riches rates

Only in NY! A good find less than a block from the Spring Street station on the 6 Train. Funky, colorful interior and across the street from a lively playground. Very tasty product; only other item I saw for sale was bottled water @ $1.50. Worth a visit.

    Great variety!

Although I find it a bit pricey, it's definitely worth a try if you like rice pudding. There are many choices and you are allowed to taste before you buy. I really like the rum raisin and the almond flavor. The service is average. There is truly a lack of seating. Next time I'll check out the restroom that the other reviewers are raving about :-)

    Yummy

What a great idea -- so much better than ice cream. They let you try anything you want before you buy it, and $6 buys you a huge tub of pudding with up to two different flavors. I had the rum raisin and the almond. I love the cute little tubs (recyclable) and Japanese spoon they give you to eat it with. I agree that they need more seating than the 3 tiny tables because there is truly no where else to sit anywhere. The bathroom reminded me of Japanese technology at its best. It was so clean, futuristic, and fragrant-- unique. I love this place!

    Yum!

Since rice pudding is my all-time favorite, we had to check this out and we were not disappointed! I have no idea why other posters complained about the service - everyone was great when we were there. And the rice pudding did NOT disappoint! Delicious! And so many flavors - astonishing. Plus toppings? Perfection - who needs ice cream? Huge portions - prices are fine especially compared to pricey ice cream joints.

    Delicious!

Can't remember what flavor I had, but very similar to traditional English rice pudding. Pricey but worth it, and generous portions! Also brilliant clean toilets - not something I found often in New York!

    Excellent

I would definitely go back. I had the Sex, Drugs, & Rocky Road and Understanding Vanilla; my husband had the chocolate hazelnut and they were both fantastic. I guess word got out about the bad service because the staff was cordial when I was there. I'm not big on the ultra-modern-retro look, but it was different. The only complaint I have is the lack of seating space available. There are only 3 2-seater benches, 2 standing tables and no where to sit outside and enjoy their product.
