The place looks incredible, and the food is even better. I was pleased that they gave free samples and by how adorable their bowls were. The prices are a bit of a turn-off, but the pudding is downright heavenly. Make sure to bring friends. You'll need help takling even their smallest bowl:)

    Puzzling business model, disappointing

I love rice pudding. It's one of my favorite desserts. The bright interior successfully lured me in I was excited to try interesting flavors of rice pudding. 1) They should stir the product every once in a while. I dropped by at around 9:30PM and many of the flavors were gelled over, looking VERY unappetizing and far from fresh. 2) Unless you want one of 4 uninteresting flavors (which you can't have from freshly scooped batches, you must get from the refridgerator...why go to a "restaurant" at all? Why pay $3.75 for 3 tablespoons of pudding when you could get a pint of Kozy Shack for $3), you're forced to get a "Small" which isn't small at all and costs almost $7. Highway robbery. 3) You're bombarded with signs telling you how unhealthy the product is. I feel as if most people must go once (b/c it is cute and Pinkberry-esque), get robbed blind, and never return. This place has some serious work to do.

    so so

Have been wanting to try this place for a while and was in the area so made a much anticipated trip. I got coconut rice pudding - couldn't really taste the coconut much, and one complaint is that it was not cold enough. I paid about $6 for a 'solo' which was a very large portion (couldn't finish). All in all, I think this place is very over rated, too expensive. But then again, what would nyc be without these over priced quirky places!

Fancy Place for Rice Pudding lovers

I have to say this place will attract you to go in there if you are passing by. The place has different modern feel to it inside it. They serve ONLY rice puddings in many flavors. I tired couple of samples and decided to get Raspberry one as take out. The bowl in which they serve you or give you takeout is very unique with a unique shaped spoon. I am not sure though if I will go there again and again, once annually for a change. 4 steps from this place, there is this ice-cream place which is equally attractive but better option. They serve ice-creams with fresh fruits. unfortunately I had already got one dessert so I did not try them, but was much more packed.

They got the "rich" part right

For the creamiest, richest, most satisfying rice pudding EVER, you MUST come here. In addition to a wide array of flavors, it is obvious whoever owns the place has a great sense of humor. There are funny and witty signs all over...we smiled from the time we walked to the door until the time we left and we took 2 "solo" servings to go. The servings are very generous so even if youre staying I would order it "to go" so you get the container with the lid.

    Rice Pudding Lover

I visited this place recently and was very happy with the experience. I have loved and eaten rice pudding all my life, so going here was a real treat. I got the chocolate-hazelnut which, as said in a previous review, was a little TOO rich... (and i'm a chocolate fanatic). Its not that it wasn't tasty, its that it really had very little resemblance to rice pudding and just seemed like... well.. regular pudding. There was very little rice and the texture was more like tapioca. I'd still visit again and look forward to trying another flavor! The portions (even the "solo") is very generous! Goooo.

the atmosphere is definitely cool and slick - a bit like the modern, white lounge in a clockwork orange - but the rice pudding isn't up to par. i sampled several before deciding on the hazelnut and what had tasted good at just a spoonful just didn't last a bowlful. strange aftertaste, too sweet. it's a cute place with a fun and playful tone with signs reading, "you're fat already anyway" but mainly a touristy stop where the decor is cool and the food is just eh. cute idea.
