My husband and I really enjoyed ourselves and the food was delicious. A must place for us from now on...I love it.

My take out order included a side order of steamed vegetables and a side of peanut sauce. The peanut sauce did not arrive with the order, making the steamed vegetable order a mistake. The shrimp pad Thai was good the first time I ordered it. The second time the large shrimps I ordered were mealy and inedible. Not bad by Park Slope standards but the quality and preparation of the meat and fish are far from gourmet.

For nearly 5 years running I'd been a loyal customer of Rice -- while the food is pretty similar to the 18 other Thai food places in the area, I chose Rice largely for the ease and speed of its take-out service. Then Saturday night I ordered via Seamless for the first time. When I received my order of Massaman curry there was no rice included. I called, because who can eat curry without rice (it is basically then soup). The hostess was pretty unhelpful, telling me rice did not come with my order but was extra. She then put the manager on the phone to tell me the same thing. I explained to him that I've ordered from them once a week for the past five years and have always manage to receive rice with my order, without asking for it as an additional item. He looked me up in the computer and then informed me that I've been paying extra for rice all of these years. Later when I checked the take-out menu I did not see any notice of "no rice included" however this was indeed indicated on the Seamless menu. Altogether an annoying experience as 1. I potentially have been paying $2 extra for rice for all of these years without anyone at the restaurant ever indicating as much, and 2. I can't believe I've been supporting a local business for so many years that is so thoroughly unconcerned with any semblance of customer service.

I've been going to this place for years and still love it. The scenery is intimate and earthy.. Great for a night with your mate or the kids for brunch. The menu changes, but keeps the older items. The service is always wonderful and the Thai tea is awesome!!! This is a must when I visit Brooklyn!!

Although my pad thai was great, I felt the service was poor. Unfriendly and acted like I was bothering her. Didn't ask to refill my tea. Didnt really greet me coming or going. But a great value for the food!

So as mentioned, this is my first time. With there with the family. Appetizers were great...service was great. Our server was knowledgeable and made good suggestions. I had Pineapple fried rice with chicken and shrimp and it was wonderful. My three year old spilled her apple juice all over the floor and they ran quickly to clean it up, without attitude or anything. They were actually apologizing to us for her spilling it and gave us another. I would definitely eat here again. It was a comfortable summer night and the open doors allowed a lovely fresh air to pass thru. The prices were ridiculously cheap. $5-6 for appetizers, $13 for fried rice and thats because i added chicken and shrimp to mine. My sisters fried rice was $8 and she loved it. I gave a 4 for atmosphere because the of the bathrooms. But other than that everything was really good.

While we have enjoyed most of the thai places in this area we find ourselves ording from Rice a couple times a month. The panang and the spicy noodles are great. A little annoying that you have to order rice to go with your meals and it doesn't just come with it, but that is the only thing I can complain about.
