Great food, just get it to go
This is simply a great place to get a chicken where the meat is falling off the bone in a great sauce. For a decent price you get great chicken, rice, beans and a handful of plantains. It's one of my favorites...especially for the midtown lunch options...this is a winner.

Amazing
Have been going to it for years and it is simply the best Brazillian Restaurant in the Neighborhood. Not one thing that I can say Bad about this Place.

Disappointing Steak
Their strip steak tasted like pork. Their beans were bland. There bife acebolado was better but still bland. The decor and feel is nice, but the price is $$$.

Fantastic restaurant!
I found this place last year, and it is by far the best Brazilian restaurant in NYC that I've been to. It's not too expensive, and the food is fantastic. The only complaint of mine is that the restaurant is VERY small. So you can feel a bit cramped. Otherwise, it's great, it's the perfect place to go to on a date.

Fresh, fresh, fresh food
We have eaten here over the years and the food is extremely fresh and flavorful. If you don't believe me, just go to the rest-room and on your way there you can see the food cooking on the stove. The rice and beans (many types) are a-rockin delicious. And if they don't give you enough, just ask for more at no extra cost. The chicken dishes are oh-so tender and the portions are definitely generous. The sweet plaintains melt in your mouth and are cooked just right. It's a small but very clean place, so be prepared to dine closely to others. Bon appetit!

Yummy
My husband and I found this restaurant by accident, but now order from there at least once a week! Everything we have ordered (and we've tried about the entire menu) has been excellent and especially for the value. I always skip the rice and beans and ask for double vegetables- the collard greens are amazing, I won't eat them anywhere else, only at Rice & Beans because of the way they cook them, so yummy! The restaurant itself is tiny, but has a little charm to it. I highly recommend this restaurant for its value and fantastic flavor!

The best of Spanish in the city
I absolutely love 'rice n beans' ... this tiny hole in the wall on 9th has the freshest, most tastiest food going on. The atmosphere is super cozy and the the people who work here are very courteous. My favorite is the chicken bosa nova --and their sweet plantains melt in your mouth.
