Interesting Food
The menu is pretty interesting. Ordered the Thai Coconut Curry Dish with the Thai Black Rice and Baked Black Beans with the Green Rice. The first dish was pretty good. The black rice had an interesting texture. The portion was decent and not bad for the price. The second dish was a bit strange - smelled like rabbit food which was definitely a turn off. Had to put tons of sauces on it to mask the smell! It was okay. Overall, I would give it another try.

Disappointed!
We went to Rice because of the gluten free menu. We had to wait a very long time for the table, but because of the gluten free menu we decided to wait. I was very disappointed though, it turned out that all the gluten free dishes were also vegetarian. I hate that, just because I get sick from gluten doesn't mean I can't eat meat or sea food. I ended up getting the thai curry - didn't eat more than a couple of mouthfuls - a couple of carrots, a bit of onion and some broccoli in a boring sauce - really awful! No gluten free bier and a uninterested waitress. If you're unable to cook nice gluten free food you shouldn't boast of a gluten free menu! The others with ordinary dishes also felt let down. Tasteless food - even though we were very hungry. The rice were good though. But I would never recommend this place.

Great delivery
Yum for Rice! These people have great, great food. We order from them all the time for lunch. They're nice on the phone and the food arrives in a timely manner. Plus, nothing ever spills and they even have printed labels so you know exactly what you're getting when you open a container.

Great food for the price!
It was my first time trying "Rice", and while I was not blown away, the food was good and the service was very efficient. Really good mango chutney and their apple/lemon/ginger juice was awesome. My baby (I'm 5 months pregnant) started kicking in joy from the juice. If you're in the neighborhood and want a quick, healthy lunch, then this is place for you. And the flavors are good too.

Good stand-by
I really prefer the Mott location - the ambience at Elizabeth street is all wrong. But if you're only taking out, great - because there are a lot of menu options, and the food is consitently pretty good. They have the best mexican chicken soup out of any place I've tried in NYC, and their fresh juices are wonderful. The tofu in the pad thai is a little hard and gnarly, so stick with the chicken or shrimp. The service also can be a little surly, too. But I live a block away so I cope with the tude for the sake of convenience. I never eat in, always take out... better that way.

My most fave downtown food spot
I love this place! It's unique menu and great prices keep me coming back. I've never left disappointed. Great options for vegetarians!
