i tried the thai coconut curry and there didn't seem to be anything thai, coconut or curry about the sauce other than the color. that was pretty close to the real thing. anyway, super bland food. but i found the server to be pleasant. won't be back anytime soon, though.

The food at the Dekalb location is mediocre, at best. We ordered arepas and churrasco for apps: the arepas looked & tasted like they were microwaved, the churrasco was so gummy it took my friend a half a minute to bite off a small piece. The pho was overall pretty bad -- veggies kinda old or sitting around too long, and the seasoning was just sub par. I didn't dare eat the meat. I can understand how hip the idea of Rice must've been when its owners thought it up. But you've gotta back it up with good food!

The food here is always tasty, and is a great change to the usual eats. Though is it much more filling then one would expect, which kinda sucks. But I ordered delivery and was told it would take 30 minutes. So when I called an hour later just to nicely ask when I should expect my food. The young woman who answered the phone took a negative full of attitude tone with me and basically acted as if I was the jerk for not already knowing that they only have one delivery guy and lots of deliveries. Well you shouldn't have told me it would only be a half hour then huh?!

the food is good enough that i keep coming back, but i just dont understand the attitude. its like they specially train everyone that works here to have a super bad attitude. why? would it kill them just to be nice once a while?

Vegetarian meatballs (get the black rice - to die for), pad thai, asian slaw, watermelon juice.....these are all a few of my favorite things here and they do them well. They deliver to me which I love. The outdoor seating is great since they have cushioned chairs - very comfy! Like most places in this neighborhood, they don't take cards which is always annoying yet understandable. Not too many gripes and really, they do most of the dishes really well although they might have a few clunkers you'll definetly find something you like.

I LOVE Rice in DUMBO. However, this location is a major disappointment. The staff was not very friendly, and the food was not nearly as good. Our waters didn't get refilled for the majority of the time, and it was especially sad since Rice (in DUMBO) is basically my favorite restaurant. In conclusion GO TO RICE! But go in DUMBO.

Food is great to share with someone if you get a large, but everytime I've gone in the service has been slow. The staff looks like they are just hanging around and people around who came later and ordered similar meals, got their food first. Also, people were not friendly at all!!
