Ricardo Steak House

This is more a fusion restaurant, rather a classic steakhouse with impressive surrounding, space, and elegance. That said, it’s a great little neighborhood restaurant in the exposed brick wall vain. Area? That’s one drawback for sure. Spanish Harlem is safe just like the rest of the city now days, but a scenic stroll after dinner isn’t happening in this neighborhood. The staff is unsophisticated, but they have a great attitude and truly seem to want you have a nice meal. Had a porterhouse and my wife had a NY Strip. Both were very good. Not the taste of aged beef one would expect at Morton’s or Ruth’s, but the culinary tricks of adding this and that, they were just fine. And again, this isn’t a classic steakhouse. One’s not charged for sides like a conventional high-end steakhouse. Drinks? No scotch menu, again, this really isn’t a classic steakhouse. But, they have some wonderful mojitos that my wife really enjoyed. Dress jeans, casual or business casual is fine.

All my friends know one thing I know is beef, (Grade and quality, cuts, temperatures etc.) So, when they want to go to a good steakhouse they call me and ask me for recomendation. Since I found this gem in the upper east side I always recommend it to everyone. This is not your daddy Steakhouse (Snubby, overpriced and boring) Ricardo Steakhouse is a fun place. You will have the best cuts (they use angus beef, Prime grade) so you are guarantted a flavorful prefectly cooked steak but then the ambiance is what compliments this restaurant so well, young, outgoing, professional crowd with the best music playing all night. The service is outstanding and friendly. Now, for the people who do not want to eat steak (like my wife) they have some of the best seafood dishes I've tried. For example, my wife loves the Chilean Sea bass or Grilled Salmon. They are superb. And the best of all...All side dishes are included with your meal, unlike the other steakhouse where you have to pay for the mashes potatoes and vegetables etc...Just try it..and you will see what I'm saying.

We tried this place last summer and were so impressed I'm taking my husband there again for his birthday because he insists on their "perfectly cooked steak". Excellent food, excellent service, and great atmosphere. It's a great little place with prices I don't mind paying because it's just that good.

Visited the Museum of City of New York and went to Ricardo's for dinner. What a great restaurant. Food was excellent and service perfect. Had a nice skirt steak and a crab cake as an appetizer. Very nice athmosphere too. I reccomend this restaurant. Don

My husband and I decided to try Ricardo's. We arrived at 10:30 p.m. expecting to see tired staff. We were wrong. The service was excellent. We had a wonderful waiter (they all seem to be very good). We ordered Prime Rib and New York Cut. Both steaks were cooked perfectly. Atmosphere is very nice and the decor was quite nice as well. A little pricy however, in the long run it is worth it. I will defenitly go again and again and again.

Ricardo's is the best! There's not a lot of great food around this area, so it's nice to have a place like this! The food is always delicious and the atmosphere is nice and relaxing. A little pricy, but you get a lot of food! I highly recommend Ricardo's!

I had a wonderful time at this restaraunt! I thought the prices were just ever so slightly high for its location but the food was excellent, so I was willing to pay. If your in the area it's definitely worth trying.
