wow shrimps not fresh
loved the restaurant I have been going there since it opened but I went there after not being there for awhile and I went on a Tuesday night. I ordered a ricardo salad with shrimp. The shrimps were an extra $9 and the shrimps were not fresh tasting that was a surprise. the food is good but sometimes not all food taste as fresh as it should be. they have to work on that. you can tell when fish is recooked or sat out awhile or been in the refrigerator too long. not good. fish is a complex dish you either get right or not.

Way Too Loud
The food was quite good..avocado salad and the rib eye were both worth going back for. The music is way too loud...I just don't get why you would play music this loud in a restaurant. I really enjoyed the food but will not go back unless they turn it down.

Good food but the music is way to loud
The food is good,the price are ok but the music is to loud. Its a good place to go with your friends but not for a romantic date

Love the backyard!
This place is excellent if you can get a seat in the backyard it's beautiful there. The food is pretty good and It's a good spot for young people (really loud music)

A Not So Hidden Gem...
I've been dining at Ricardo's since it first opened. I was so impressed by the restaurant, food, staff and atmosphere that I had my Mom's surprise 70th birthday party there. Eddie and his staff were extremely accommodating creating a custom menu for our guests, they decorated the space with balloons, etc. and went out of their way to make sure that everyone had a fantastic meal and a good time at very reasonable prices for what we received. I have recommended Ricardo's to many friends and all of them have had wonderful dining experiences and have returned countless times. I am taking a friend for her birthday dinner tonight and expect a wonderful evening, as I have always encountered. Ricardo's does not dissapoint! Que Rico!!

Fun n' good, needs a few small improvements
Great food, fun atmosphere, pleasantly surprised! Early September evening and we felt like we were in a sauna, way too uncomfortable, service was pleasant but very slow and the music was a touch too loud, difficult to hold a conversation over. Three small things that could easily be improved. We'll be back though.

the best burger ever
So....this is the first time i ever review a place, the reason being that this place is just amazing. I live a couple blocks away and come to ricardo on a regular basis...NEVER disappointed. Friendly, playful atmosphere, great drinks and amazing food. I went by to pick up something tonight bc i was in the mood for a burger...I got the best burger EVER. The largest and juiciest amount of meat i have ever seen in a bun. If you live in nyc and haven't checked this place out yet you need to right now!
