great food and atmosphere
Just here for the 2nd time (would have been 3 but last Sunday they were closed.First time dining here was last November...just stumbled upon it and had our best meal on that visit to NY. Just last week returned to NY for a 4 day trip and couldn't wait to dine here again. I had the salmon (exc ellent) and sides of veggies (excellent) I love the sides they offer ($5.00) I had asparagus and zucchini. My son had shrimp (or maybe it was prawns) whatever - he loved it! The service was excellent. We went back 2 nights later (Sun.) but they are not open on Sunday. Last November. we were there with the whole family and everyone loved it. I can't wait until my next trip to New York.

not worth it!
this is a great spot for drinks in a nice bar setting. but, do NOT go here for dinner! my friends and i made the mistake of choosing this restaurant after giving up on the spotted pig's 3 hour wait. the food is barely passable. the tuna tartare appetizer was the best thing on the menu. the steaks and fish entrees were average. none of the accompanying sauces complemented the entrees. my friend who ordered the filet mignon was served a pyramid shaped chunk of bloody meat, even when she specified that it be medium well. not even the vegetable side dishes were worth eating! how can such a horrible restaurant survive in the meatpacking district? to top off this horrible dining experience, the wait staff were beyond incompetent and rude. first, we were seated way too close to the bar area, even though there was an empty table in the dining area. second, we had two waiters take our orders because the first one i guess decided to just throw out our order. third, the first waiter was giving us some pms attitude - lady, i can't help it that when you say words like "herbs" it sounds like you're saying "caps." overall an unpleasant experience, and a waste of money.

Nice garden-wait staff issues
Food was adequare. Watery sauce on top of pasta. OJ is from concentrate. Waitress was slow, unattentive and obviously in a bad mood. For those reasons we only tipped her 10%. Next morning I see in my account as I checked the balance online that she had put $ 5.68 on top of the check to make up for it. It's not much money, but I'm outraged at the atrocity to just "up" the tip. I will dispute the charges just on principle.

A pleasant surprise
Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and the service is excellent.
