Amazing Burger
Finally went to Resto and ordered their burger and fries with gribiche sauce. First of all, you don't tell them how you want your burger cooked... and, rightfully so, because the burger was just perfect. Fries were truly crisp and very tasty and the sauce gribiche was so good we ordered another portion! The service was excellent. Wait staff very personable and helpful. Can't wait to return and try other dishes!

Thats what mussles taste like ...
Had dinner with a friend last night, had a great glass of wine at the bar while waiting...after seating the waiters (2 of them) were very accomodating and left us alone. After ordering wine, we asked to order an appetizer while we decided on entree...he said we had to place our order at one time, which always annoys me, but OK...we ordered the deviled eggs to start, weird, but delicious...we were both going to have the burger...but the waiter said we were boring and should get something different...uh OK...we ordered the mussles. The burger was great, the mussles were not...very fishy and slimy. I ate a total of 3 of them. We told the waiter, he brought them back and said that both he and the chef tasted them and rather condescendingly advised "that is what mussles taste like"... really...it's not my first day at the rodeo...anyway, they offered to remake them (no thanks) and then gave us a free dessert (thank you)...but did not remove it from the bill, oh well. I would go back for burgers and frites, as they were both delicious...just stay away from the mussles...unless you like the tast of the sea floor.

steak for two
I dont know about portion sizes but i had a steak for two there for $120 and now i see on the menu that the price has been dropped to $80. I dont know what the deal is down there but i would like my $40 back. also i am failing to see the connection between the bo saam and a whole animal feast. the person who wrote that comment must have no clue or has a personal issue with saam bar??

Resto must be hurting...
While I have not noticed recent price increases at this place, the portions are WAY too small. I don't even eat that much and I left hungry. I had the quiche, which was more of an appetizer than anything. Food is certainly tasty, service is so-so, drinks are good. What is the deal with the portions at this place? I've also had the burger before and they only cook it well done since they add pork.

Resto = So So
I enjoyed the company of my friends and the excellently prepared dirty martinis (the bartender knows his stuff). I did not enjoy watching the teeny tiny entrees that were delivered or the flighty waitress who came by for our orders a half a dozen times (we were a party of 6 trying to catch up over dinner). I recommend going to Resto for some frits and good drinks (even brunch) –but don’t waste your time or money (it’s not cheap) on the entrees. Particular warning about the veal dish, which was approximately two bites and accompanied by tree sprigs of arugula. Tasty yes, but there was a definite need for late night Chipotle run to fill up after that dish.

Dry, Overcooked Burger
Terrible burger. When I asked for it medium-rare the bartender said "the kitchen doesn't cook to a specific temperature." I got an overcooked, dry burger. How could anyone say this is an excellent burger? To make up for it, the fries were undercooked. Big selection of belgian beers, but skip the burger and fries.

I die for the Tete de Cochon sandwich
We were a group of three and ordered lots of plates to share: the tete de cochon (pig's head) sounded intimidating but was our best choice by far: with its sriracha and carrots it was like a pulled-pork banh mi served on toast. Frites with sauce gribiche were fantastic. The burger knocked it out of the park: a real punch of flavor and a lingering meaty taste. There were some weak spots. Deviled eggs served on squares of fried pork sound brilliant but just taste like the fryer. A side of escarole was floppy and overcooked and completely not worth the $6 price tag. In fact, everything on the menu feels like it's priced two or three dollars higher than it should be -- but this is the best restaurant in what's otherwise a wasteland of a neighborhood, and the service is great, so I'll keep coming back.
