I enjoy living right by Renaissance, and enjoy the fact that i could order anything off the menu at 4 in the morning if I felt like it. However, their food, while decent, doesn't blow me away. I find that the fries have a wierd taste, as though the oil in the fryer, which has seen a multitude of items from the varied menu, hasn't been changed for a while. I'm going to order some breakfast from Renaissance now at 11pm.

I try to eat here every time I come to the city. No matter what you're craving, They have it on their menu. I can particulary recommend the black & blue burger and the popcorn crawfish.

The front room is an very nice diner but the back room is really great, much nicer than most restaraunts in the area. The menu is traditional diner fare and much more. If your ever on 9th Ave check it out, its not your typical greasy spoon.

I love this place. I've been a customer of the Renaissance for 7 years. The staff is excellent. If you've ever come to 9th avenue you know that there are 10 food place on every block but none have all these quality (3 very diferent rooms, the front is like a high class diner , the middle room has a skylight and fireplace , and the last room is an outdoor garden that make you feel like you on the street of mykonos. Oh yea great food at good prices too!

The Renaissance Diner puts your local greasy spoon to shame! Huge menu, huge booths, and two nice dining rooms in the back. They seem to be typically understaffed, so the service isn't stellar, but nobody's ever been rude to me and besides... it's a freakin' diner! They serve most dinery foods but with a gourmet edge. And what an impressive selection of salads (for a diner...)! One of my favs is the sweet potato french fries. The Greek salad is nice, too. This place is a reliable favorite. When I can't decide where to go for dinner (or for snacks at 3am), I head to the Renaissance.
