Poor service
Every time i go there the staff gets more inattentive. I end up waiting for the wait staff or having to flag someone down just to order... the last time i went i felt like i had to force them to take my money, i could have just walked out and they wouldn't have noticed since they are too busy playing around with each other.

Rigatoni pasta lovers entre is a must!
Not your average diner. The rigatoni pasta lovers meal and the cappucini shakes are a must-try.

Great food, subpar service
Must admit that their food is really great which is why I continue to order from them; however their service is horrible. Several times they have put me on hold and forgot that I am there, and then when they pickup, they are rude. They also can't get deliveries right. This is the 2nd time they have messed up and delivered my food to another building (street # was my apartment #). They really need to work on their customer service, b/c otherwise they will lose customers. No food is that good when you have to deal with this sort of incompetence.

Native Hells Kitchenite
So if you are looking for a diner that serves food equal to an upscale restaurant, then this is the place to go. I have been going to this diner since it opened. From late night after a bar, to early morning before work, I have always been happy by my experiences. Sure I have had maybe one bad meal, but speak up, because this greek diner will fix and address your complaint, and in the end you may be going home with a doggie bag for a memorable midnight snack. Sam is my favorite waiter, but all the staff, especially if you become a regular will greet you and make sure that your meal is perfect.

No toaster
If you go to this dinner after 8:00pm they turn off their toaster oven. So if you want toast, they put it in the broiler where all the hamburger grease finds it's way over. It really amazes me that Renaissance Diner can't buy a toaster to use after dinner is over. Nothing worse than ordering eggs at midnight and getting toast that's not toasted that tastes like a cheeseburger!

chili con carne over rice
i always get the chili con carne over rice, it's a huge portion and sure to fill you up. it also comes with soup. I love the creme of broccoli, pea soup, and manhattan clam. this deal is only 10 bucks, about 11 or 12 plus tax and tip. i love the service here, super consistent food.

always a pleasure
i am a renaissance diehard! i would go there multiple times a die when i worked in the area. now, i stop by every chance i get. the food has always been incredible. the portions are large, great value, and always consistent. my favorites include, spicy buffalo wings, chicken tenders(best i've had), and potato skins. the soups are always fresh and delicious. personally, love the chicken soup, any season. entree favorites are the chicken dijon with homemade mashed potatoes and sauteed spinach. their steak is also good, with steamed broccoli and baked potato. coffee is perfect. favorite cold drink is their fresh squeezed lemonade with apple for sweetness. love sitting in the skylight room, especially when fireplace is on. overall, great restaurant, great food, without the stuffy pretentiousness of city restaurants. no need to be dressed up but still a great place to see and be seen.
