Overpriced and subpar
The food was certainly not worth the menu prices. It was mediocre at best. The waitstaff was rude.

Perfect pre show meal
The meal was terrific, the service was spot on, the room was very quiet and attractive as hell. It was the perfect pre show meal before hopping a block and half over for Jersy Boys.

Disappointing experience
We came to Remi upon a high recommendation and a generous gift certificate which we had received. Since we were only a party of two our total bill failed to deplete the full value of the certificate by almost $50, fully knowing that the gift certificate amount could not be applied to the tax or gratuity. Explaining this to our waiter we fully expected the certificate to either be modified or reissued with a new balance to be used at a future date. After a long wait, our waiter returned to our table to explain that they were unable to locate any blank gift certificates, nor was any consideration given to modifying the original certificate reflecting the new balance. When we explained that this was unacceptable - given the amount of the balance, he left our table and returned 10 min later - even though we had said we were running late for our play - and stated the best he could do was for us to give the restaurant a call the following day so that this matter could be settled. Since we were a visitor to the city, this was a gross inconvenience and gave the impression to us of a typical New York City scam. Needless to say this will be our one and only visit to this restaurant.

Excellent lunches
I eat at Remi regularly, albeit only for lunch. Done this for years. Service continues to be excellent, without exception. Food is superb, though not imaginative. The old standards, done well. Best items: veal - sublime. Worst: Caesar salad - somewhat tasteless. Pasta very good.

Rude staff
service took a nosedive when my party asked for the restaurant week menu. We were rushed through the meal with the check deposited on the table as the dessert was served. The food is at best average and we shall not be going back.

Rushed
Went for restaurant week. Had to ask for the special menu. Once the waiter realized my party wanted the special menu the service changed for the worse. We barely finished our appetizers when the main course was plunked on the table, quickly followed by the dessert. The bill was presented with the dessert. They must not need the business because they just lost mine.

Great Food, didn't feel special
I really liked everything about this restaurant, food, ambiance, wine, however while the staff did a competent job, I did not feel special. A couple times I had to ask the busboy to please help find my server. I would definitely recommend however. Maybe the servers were just having an off night. Plus their pre-fix is a pretty good deal, large portions.
