Dont waste your time or money.

I've lived in this neighborhood all of my life & also work in the area. Let me begin by saying that I love diners & my parents actually own a luncheonette. The food here is average at best & it is beyond overpriced. But what has to be the worst here is the service. No one ever smiles or says good morning. The older man rushes to take your order wether it be over the phone or right there. No one checks if you need refills or anything. You have to flag them down or walk up to the counter & when you do they look at you like you're bothering them. It doesn't even get that busy in there for the service to be so poor! I normally wouldn't write a review, especially a negative one but this dump merits it. You're better off going to wimpys or even getting an egg sandwich from one of those coffee carts. Yes, it's that bad!

    30 years of eating there

This is unbeatably value-for-the-buck. A diner in every aspect, and that's what you get. Nothing fancy. Perfectly good food, fast, reliably, and always with friendly service. I mostly eat breakfast there, occasionally lunch. Ramon has been there forever and runs the place and keeps an eye on everyone and everything and works the counter and take-out. Sheila, the primary waitress, has also been there for years and can manage all the tables and booths herself, with a little backup occasionally with clearing the tables. I've never seen such hard workers. Weekend mornings are the heaviest traffic, but it's a popular spot, for all these reasons.

    It's a luncheonette!

This is a cute little corner luncheonette much like the ones I went to as a kid back in Detroit. No frills, nothing fancy. Frozen burgers thrown on the grill and cooked to oblivion, big ol' omlettes and great priced breakfast specials. Nothing to write home about but a great spot to go on a budget.

Don't waste your time or money

I live in the neighborhood and love eating a diners. I gave this place several chances so you can just imagine my disappointment after eating at Reme. I'd rate the food as below average. My burger tasted like a hockey puck and the various breakfast I tried were just kinda blah. I'd be willing to suffer that in silence but the service is perhaps the worst of any diner I've ever eaten at. They act like they are doing you a favor by waiting on you, and its almost impossible to get a refill on water or coffee.

One of a kind in this neighborhood

I have been eating at this diner/restaurant for 20 years now. Can never go wrong. They always have something I like and the atmosphere and friendly faces welcome you even on bad days. I have never had a bad meal or experience here. I know the place is kept clean, the food is fresh and prices are reasonable. Thank you guys.

    Good

I ordered the Broiled Pork Chops, with mashed potatoes, broccoli and turkey soup. Food tastes good and price is unbeatable.

    Friendly Neighborhood Place

Reme is a great little diner. The people who work there are very welcoming and the prices can't be beat.
