Okay, so I'm used to eating at a relative's house for Turkey Day, but last year was an exception. I went to the Redeye Grill for what I was sure was going to be my worst Thanksgiving ever. I was wrong. The salmon was perfect, as were the prawns. Not to mention the excellent service. Check this place out and you have to try their chocolate mousse cake. Awesome!

As a local, I never thought my favorite restaurant in NYC would be on 57th and 7th!! It's really amazing to eat such fresh and such well prepared seafood and not have to feel like I am taking my life into my own hands. The service is wonderful. My favorite dish is the seabass entree with capers and tomatoes!

Wen here on trip NYC last week and we were completely knocked out - it was fantastic! Great atmosphere food and service. You have to try the dancing shrimp - absolutely delicious and the seafood paella was pretty amazing too. Definitely will be returning on our next trip to NYC.

Went here with a friend on a whim, we went someplace else first and couldn't get a table. Service here was great, food was fantastic. Guacamole+shrimp appetizer was really great, we both had the filet, very good, didn't much like the frites that came with, but the filet was so good, neither of us cared. Will absolutely visit again. Maybe tomorrow ;-)

I haven't been to the Redeye (the place where the shrimp "dance") for 6 months now, but I still dream about the guacamole appetizer. I've spent months living and dining in Mexico, but let me tell you: this was the Best Guacamole EVER. We almost didn't buy it because of the price, but it was delectable and worth it. I also had an amazing frozen mint dessert. I agree with the reviewer who said this is a great place to see and be seen. The floor plan is nice, and the live music in the overhead balcony is great. Our server was really comical, too. If you've got extra bucks to $pend, go out and enjoy yourself here!

I hadn't been back to the Redeye since it opened several years ago. Went recently with a friend and was thrilled to find that the food and atmosphere are still as great as I remembered. If you like seafood, you can't go wrong here. I had the lobster roll, my friend the salmon--both excellent. Desserts are huge and delicious. The staff is very friendly and well-informed. On the pricey side, but definitely worth it.

My wife and I went to NYC to see Phantom and celebrate our anniversary. First time in NYC, so I did a lot of research before we left and found very high reviews for Red Eye Grill. They are not wrong! I had the Jumbo prawns, best I have ever had. My wife had the shrimp and crabcake, that was equally delicious. We had planned on trying the Crab legs, but we didn't have the appetite for them, but they looked incredible. Definitely give it a try, you won't be disappointed.
