Well for starters I had a beet salad with goat cheese, quite possibly my two favorite things on this earth so my experience here could only get worse. But it didnt every thing was fantastic, especially my paella! I will definitely be back.

Considering it was restaurant week, I was willing to give this place a little slack as I know how hectic things can get. However, having dined at other fine establishments within this restaurant group, such as Trattoria Dell’Arte, Brooklyn Diner, and Café Forello, I was expecting to be pleased with my meal and experience at Redeye Grill – unfortunately, I was pleased with neither. The first raise of an eyebrow occurred during the appetizer course. The waiter placed my appetizer along with the person’s sitting next to me on the table, however, disappeared with what looked like the wrong appetizer, for our third dinner companion. Without offering any explanation, we just assumed the right appetizer would be brought momentarily – we were wrong. 5 minutes passed, then 10 – as we sat there waiting for the third appetizer to be brought – the dinner companion sitting next to me had ordered soup – which was now getting cold – and politely asked to start. The third appetizer was finally brought, but without an apology – strike #1. The main course was rather uneventful – I did not enjoy the filet mignon I ordered off the restaurant week menu – as the meat was poor quality and the sauce too sweet – strike #2. The last and final disaster of the evening was the fact that it took them over a half hour to process our credit cards for payment of the bill. Each time I saw our waiter pass – we insisted on knowing where our credit cards were and he kept saying it’s processing or the machine ran out of paper – strike #3. It was probably one of the most infuriating dining experiences I have had in a while – and I will not return anytime soon.

After spending a long day at One Day University, chose Redeye Grill for its central location and the menu seemed to offer something for both the meat and fish eaters in my group. We were not disappointed. Relaxing atmosphere, outstanding service and great food...at what I thought was a good value for NY...well...especially since my brother in law picked up the tab! We sampled a little of everything...sushi...King Crab...salmon...steak....pasta...everything was on the mark. If I had to say skip anything it might be the "Dancing Shrimp"...fun presentation but if you like shrimp....go for the raw bar. Looking forward to our next vist to the classroom and the Redeye

Have been to countless restaurants worldwide but hands down the best paella I have ever eaten. Will remember it for years. Rather busy atmosphere and the room was a bit crowded but the food was superb.

Ordered the dover sole and made sure to specify "well done"........not so well done when it arrived. Someone needs to teach them how to make 'real' spaezle'. The grilled veggies were excellent. The desserts are ridiculously large and bland. Banana cream pie was just a bunch of large pieces of cut up bananas with whip cream on top. A bit pricey. We decided that we tried it once and wouldn't go again.

I booked a reservation for the Redeye for 9pm, got there an hour early and they sat us down without a problem. The wait staff was excellent, the service quick and the meal delicious. The atmosphere was a little on the noisy side, but in all fairness, it's a huge restaurant, and when it's full of people with the background music, any place will tend to sound a little noisy. Over-all and excellent place to eat.

I was taken out to dinner here and had a wonderful experience! The food was amazing! The dancing shrimp appetizer was fun to eat and pretty to look at. It was big meaty shrimp with coconut and 2 dipping sauces and was just delicious! I had the dover sole which was exquisite. Dessert is not to be missed! Oh my goodness, it was fantastic! My date and I shared the chocolate banana cream pie which had thick, sweet pieces of banana with a graham cracker crust. Amazing! We also shared the creme bruleed cheesecake. I can't believe I've never had this combo before - it really worked! I can't wait to go back to this place!
