Not so great...........
Ordered the dover sole and made sure to specify "well done"........not so well done when it arrived. Someone needs to teach them how to make 'real' spaezle'. The grilled veggies were excellent. The desserts are ridiculously large and bland. Banana cream pie was just a bunch of large pieces of cut up bananas with whip cream on top. A bit pricey. We decided that we tried it once and wouldn't go again.

Great Place, Great Food
I booked a reservation for the Redeye for 9pm, got there an hour early and they sat us down without a problem. The wait staff was excellent, the service quick and the meal delicious. The atmosphere was a little on the noisy side, but in all fairness, it's a huge restaurant, and when it's full of people with the background music, any place will tend to sound a little noisy. Over-all and excellent place to eat.

Fabulous experience!
I was taken out to dinner here and had a wonderful experience! The food was amazing! The dancing shrimp appetizer was fun to eat and pretty to look at. It was big meaty shrimp with coconut and 2 dipping sauces and was just delicious! I had the dover sole which was exquisite. Dessert is not to be missed! Oh my goodness, it was fantastic! My date and I shared the chocolate banana cream pie which had thick, sweet pieces of banana with a graham cracker crust. Amazing! We also shared the creme bruleed cheesecake. I can't believe I've never had this combo before - it really worked! I can't wait to go back to this place!

Great service, food overpriced
The food is good but way overpriced in my opinion. I think I paid $50 for a piece of fish in a tangy butter sauce and some grilled veggies on the side. INSANE! The atmosphere is pretty good. I loved my waiter though, professional with great sense of humor. The banana cream pie is good but watch out for the $10 price tag.

Convenient and Delicious
My wife and I had a pre-theatre dinner at The Redeye Grill recently, chosen by the Menupages high precentage of good reviews and it's convenient location to the Theatre District. For starters we had the Quacamole, best ever we've had anywhere. Then we shared the Lobster Pot Pie. It was delicious and more than enough for us both, though a bit more sauce may have made it even better. We were too full to enjoy dessert, but returned the next night to try the signature Banana Cream Pie. A rare find on restaurant dessert trays, and a perfect way to satisfy a sweet tooth. We were warmly welcomed both times and never felt rushed. The service and entire staff was helpful, friendly, prompt and professional. Based on our most pleasant experiences, we highly recommend the Redeye , and look forward to our next opportunity to dine there.

Great experience!
Four of us had dinner at the Redeye Grill in mid-February. This was my 2nd time there the others were new to the Redeye. It is a relaxed and delightful room and we were given a fabulous table in the front window, from which we could see little snow-showers passing. The food was really excellent - everyone was very pleased. The service was friendly, relaxed, and casual, and overall the evening was a pleasure. It is not inexpensive, but we felt that the price was justified by the quality of the food and the delightful atmosphere. We all look forward to a return visit in the future!
