Redemption

I go out in midtown several times a week. I showed up at this place with 5 others and ordered a bottle of cheap wine. 45 minutes (seriously) later someone finally came over with glasses and I believe she actually said, "this is not my fault" Sad to say, we all work in the business and she just broke the cardinal rule! We all just got up and left. Blown away that they hire pretty girls with long legs just about nothing else to offer.

Brunch experience was good. Omlettes provide a vast choice of "pick your own ingredients". Pancakes were a confectionary/berry delight. Bloody Mary's had "clout"! Manager "Eddie" came back to ask our opinion on food and service a rarity in NYC..... I forsee good things for Redemption..Good name as well.. We will return....Scott

I could not wait to check this place out... looked to be warm and inviting, however, it is 100% disappointing... I sat and waited for a drink (5 - 10 minutes longer than necessary)... it was "NOT" crowded when I got there. I browsed the menu to order food and the waitress never came back... I went to the bar and asked for my check and they did not even have change... The guy sitting @ the bar gave me change so I could pay the bill and leave... o.k. they waitress probably thought she looked chic and that's cool, but not if you are a waitress who is suppose to be working and doing a job... I would normally write it off and try it again, but I don't think it's even worth it.

We went to this place for brunch on a whim and it was great. The omlettes are a good deal for everything they come with and the mac and cheese with truffle oil was delicious. I highly recommend this place to anyone.

if you can make a good burger, you can make anything. it's like making a good sauce.
