Redemption redemmed itself
I have been frequenting Redemption for years now, they just rolled out a new menu with better food than before. Kobe burger/sliders, great wings, a seared ahi tuna salad.. They have really stepped up thier game and deserve the business that comes their way. the waitresses were all cute/hot girls who did their job well... fun after work crowd and a great weekend spot to watch the game as well.. I would reccommend redemption to anyone looking for a nice place with good food and friendly staff.. Two thumbs way up!!!

Downhill!
What happened? I had two great meals there over the summer. Just went back and everything was in one word: gross. The waitress did not listen to our minor modifications (no sour cream on the nachos) and the Greek Salad turned into a pile of canned veggies over lettuce.

not the best place...
poor service, food, drinks. i go out a lot in this city, and would not recommend this place to anybody. better off spending your money at pj clarkes or parnells- great service, atmosphere!

My "Go-To" Place!
I used to live in Turtle Bay and would eat at Redemption ALL the time - the drink specials lured me in, and the food kept me coming back! It is SOOOOO much better than "bar" food- they have everything from edamame to fried pickles, and a seared rare tuna sandwich to veggie pizza. Now that I live on the UES, I find myself traveling back down to 2nd ave and 53rd St every chance I get! Plus the staff is always really nice, and it seems to attract a classier crowd than a lot of other places in the neighborhood. Redemption is definitely my "go-to" place :)

Great brunch
I went to Redemption for brunch this weekend and everything was great. They changed their menu and it was a huge improvement. I had the $20 brunch (which includes 3 drinks) and I will definitely be going back for that price. When we got there, there were only a few tables and by the time we left it was packed. The waitress was super busy but was never rude when we asked for anything. I would definitely reccommend this place to anyone looking to cure a hangover or just looking for a good restaurant with outdoor seating. If you have time for a long relaxing brunch you should definitely go there.

Avoid for lunch
JUST came back from this place and it was a disappointment from start to finish. As most NYC people know, midtown Manhattan is the Mecca of corporate America. There is a lot of hustling and bustling. When a restaurant opens in this neighborhood and expects people to come during their lunch hour, they need to be prepared to accommodate. If the restaurant CAN'T handle that, then they should move to a different neighborhood. I arrived to this spot at 1:10 today. I ordered a tuna sandwich (cold) with fries..... I received my food at 2pm FIFTY minutes later...AND it wasn't even the correct order! They gave sliders...! To make matters worse, the burgers were tasteless, they cost me $14, AND the waitress gave me a weak apology and refused to adjust the check or give me the correct order. I have no idea how anyone could bare to go to a place that has such bad service, such slow service, and such tasteless food...AVOID this spot...for real.

Best Bday in NYC
I had my Birthday Party at Redemption last night, Friday May 2nd and I am beaming today. The place wasn't pack, which was nice for a change. The people that were there were nice business people 20's/30's. Our bartenders were quick, kind and accommodating. The music was amazing. I couldn't have hand picked a better DJ. She was so sweet to all my guests, played all our requests, and kept us all there dancing way, way, way after our bedtimes (Thanks a lot Ms. Stacy Stylez) :-). If you haven't been to Redemption the layout is really good. It has a private room in the back with a large bar up front. You can get a waitress in the back, or use the front bar. Either way the drinks come fast. All my friends had a great time and the manager was also very accomodating. He kept making sure we were being taken care of. Thank you Redemption for making me such a Happy Birthday.
