    Bland

The lunchtime service took forever! The food tasted as if it had been frozen and it was SO bland. Even the chips and salsa weren't good (chips were stale). Not too expensive, but there are better places to eat in NY.

    horrible

Visited here after work for the thursday happy hour. Service was abrupt, and left us waiting to long for service at the bar. Staff were to busy having a private party to serve us and totally messed up our tab. Unfriendly and lazy. To many bars in NY to put up with waiting 20 minutes for drinks....

Fun Place with Great Food and Service

I have eaten at Red and found the food and service top notch both times. The margaritas are amazing - and I tried at least a couple of different flavors. The waitstaff brings chips right away, the waitresses I had were cheerful and friendly, entrees are enticing (try the Salmon) and taste great, and I will be back soon - bringing visitors from out of town and taking a friend out for a birthday lunch. On a nice day it is great to eat outdoors there. The location is one of the high points, and I go there even if not in the area.

    Almost made my night.

My girlfriends and I went to RED for dinner and to grab a couple drinks before watching the fireworks on the 4th of July. Looking at what people had already ordered the food looked great and so did the drinks. I am happy to say that it all tasted just as good as it had looked. The only bad part of my RED experience was the service. We had empty drinks for over half the night and we missed over half the fireworks just waiting for our check. We were not on a time crunch so we were super upset that it was taking so long, when we had been done with dinner for a long time and did not see our waitress all night, except for ordering. If you don't care about service but want a great meal I would recommend this place.

    Poor service!

I went to Red yesterday with my girlfriend on a whim. While to Fajitas were good, the service was unacceptable. They brought out our appetizer about 10 min before we received our drink orders. Then when we received our main courses, they brought the wrong dish to my girlfriend and we sent it back. 10 min later they brought out another dish which we did not order but it took so long that we were just didn't care and took it. Another 10 min later our waiter finally brings her the correct dish, though was completely unapologetic for the inconvenience. Its sad when the bus staff is more concerned with a patrons dining experience than the waiter.

    If you go sit below

The key to this place is to sit on the street level. Poor service seems to only affect the second floor. This has been my experience.

    Poor service

Good Mexican food but the downfall was the unattentive waitstaff.
