    Great Lunch Downtown

After walking by this restaurant about a million times, I finally decided to check it out. The food was great. Had the shrimp enchiladas, and they were so good. My mom had the chicken chimichanga and she was pleased as well. There are a few Mexican restaurants Downtown, and this one tops the lost right now. The Blood Orange Margarita was great as well, not watered down at all. Will be back soon

    Not recommended

This is my first review EVER of a restaurant on the internet but I felt this needed to be said. I am 5 months pregnant, was in the mood for Mexican food tonight, live downtown in BPC, so called this place to order dinner. I was told it would be about a 1/2 hour. After waiting about 45 minutes, I got a call from the manager that they do deliveries by foot and could not deliver to me (this is after I gave my delivery address/thorough directions 45 minutes before). Really??? Great customer service guys! Well then you should have called 45 minutes earlier, right after I placed my order, because I then had to find a new restaurant to order from, place my order with them, and wait another 30-45 minutes for THAT to be delivered. Not cool, not nice and, at that point, you should have done the right thing and delivered my food, even if it meant taking a cab. It's not like downtown, Battery Park City->South Street seaport, is that extensive of an area.

    Waitress Disappeared

This was by far one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. We were seated right away, but then waited for 20 minutes for a waitress to take our drink and food order. She never smiled. She only spoke when we asked her and then just mumbled or answered with one word. We had a basket of chips brought to the table, but finished them before the drinks arrived. We had asked the waitress twice for the status of our drinks. Finally we had to ask the hostess the status of our drink order. Our food finally came, and I had asked for some more condiments. She never brought them. In fact, she disappeared for 40 minutes and we never saw her face. Not only did I not get my condiments, I also do not get a refill on my $3.25 Diet Coke, or the check so we could pay our bill and get the heck outta there. The hostess felt bad for us and the table next to us for the horrible service, that she brought us waters to help satisfy our need to see our waitress. When we asked where she was, the hostess said, she is in kitchen, or she is having computer troubles. Still does not explain the lack of service we received. Another table next to us ate their chips and left as no one showed up for 30 minutes to take their order. The bus boy then scoffed at them that they ate the free chips and left. We told him the reason they left was because no one came to take their order. When the waitress finally showed up 40 minutes We paid with cash (no tip) so we wouldn't have to wait another 40 minutes until she came back with our credit card. She never once offered an apology. I would not waste my time going to this restaurant.

    Will Not Go Back

Last night we tried Red as a change of pace. We will never go back. Taken to the upstairs portion of the restaurant, we waited and waited----for a glass of water. Then we waited for our waitperson to take our order. Then we waited for our drinks. (About 20 mins.) I ordered a margarita with pomegranate. It arrived a frozen melange of corn syrup and weird tasting additives, none of them suggesting a margarita. I couldn't drink it. Our waiter kindly took it back, adding that even she avoided any flavoured drink as they don't use real juice, but the plain drink was just as chemically imbued. The food? Tacos and Enchiladas. Bland, Bland Bland. Never again.

    Fun Place with Great Drinks

This place is fun and the drinks are toxic! If you are looking for a good strong drink that will have you floating on air, this is the place for you. I bet you can't do more than 2 of them.
