The best sports bar in NYC
Red Star is the best sports bar in NYC. I travel from Manhattan to their location in Brooklyn! The food is awesome and the staff is super friendly and attentive. The customer service is nothing short of excellent. The Burgers and the Wings are the best I've ever had in New York City....by FAR! I've eaten here no less than 50 times and have never had a disappointing experience! If you're in the mood for dessert, the fried cheesecake is awesome!

Best Local Dive
Some of these reviews are a little dated. Wing night has upped the wings to 50 cents each but that's definitely not an issue. The wings are always plump, crispy, and drenched in sauce. RS offers tons of sauces for the wings (my friend once ordered raspberry wings?!?! Not bad, but I like my wings savory not sweet). Their pub fries are amazing (thick french fries covered in sour cream, scallions, melted cheese, and bacon bits. A meal after a true Poles' heart) There are two floors. Downstairs is the main sports bar and dinning area. While upstairs holds a smaller bar, as well as a large karaoke area containing an assortment of black couches, a few flat screens and a stage. The atmosphere is always relaxed and the usual crowd is comprised of 33% college kids, 33% hipsters, 33% middle aged Polish guys, and 1% random. But all come together for wings and sports. =D

Great bar food
I love this place. I have never eaten in the restaurant, but have it delivered all the time and every time it is great. I know it is probably fattening and not healthy, but it is darn good.

Poor Service
So explain how a shop delivers to your house one night but then refuses to the next because as they put it you live too far out. Well it wasn't too far out the week prior oh and your website says you deliver to all of Greenpoint and there is no way you could pretend that we live anywhere else, we live next to McGlorrick park for god sakes. The person on the phone was pretenious, rude, self righteous and while those could all mean the same thing, he was all of that and a total jerk on top.

Ok food, with great service
I've been there on more than once. It seems as if they are letting the food slip a little. Their bar staff is what keeps me comming back. Super friendly service and they get to know their customers. They have to work on the kitchen. I may have dinner before I go though. Don't hate me.

Great hamburgers and fries! I order delivery often! Sandwiches are pretty good too! Ranch is tasty!

Still hungry
I tried this place before and remembered hating my food, but after reading these good reviews I thought I'd give it another try. Big mistake. We ordered a few different things and none of us were able to consume more than three bites of any of it. Super stale fries, super poor veggie burger (patty chock full of peas and carrots) and super sloppy quesadilla. Maybe this would be edible if I was hammered. But we're out $25 bucks and still hungry.
