    Skip It

I've been a take out / delivery customer of theirs for a few years. The food was always average. Decent food, not great, not terrible. I no longer order from them because the last two times I've found foreign objects in my food. That was enough for me.

too bad it's not good anymore

I used to order from the original red hot all the time. Since new ownership, the food is nowhere near as good--not even just the flavor..but the quality as well. I'm so disappointed because the original was worth ordering from a couple times a week. They need to get better chefs. I won't be ordering from them again. :(

    Healthy, delicious and Fast

My favorite Chinese Restaurant. Never greasy, always fresh and always delicious. When you order by phone, they deliver it within minutes. They have a great selection for vegetarians.

    Yuck!

I bought a fairly simple dish there. In addition to the price having gone up by almost $2 in recent weeks--which I wasn't notified of over the phone--the food was bland and very mediocre. I would expect the same at a canteen at lunch time.

    mmm!

i adore red hot. they have lots of great options, the food comes hot, flavorful, and fresh - and we find the delivery to be very fast (we're about 10 blocks away). it's not gourmet, but if you're looking for some solid dumplings, lo-mein, entrees and veggie sides - this is your spot!

    poor service

furious with this place. never ordering again...delivery took FOREVER, I told them I was in a bit in a hurry, they told me no problem it'll be here in 10 minutes. one hour later, the food arrives with so many things missing, I call to ask for them and they never brought it...after promising the remaining things would be here in 5 minutes. poor service

    Serious Wonton Soup

I really love wonton soup, and I have had some pretty terrible ones. The red hot version is a gem: brown, meaty broth (not that yellow dishwater you sometimes get) with really nice wontones- nice dough, flavorful filling. I also love the moo shu, especially the one with dried bean curd, and the lo mein. It's not your standard lo mein noodle, they use a thinner, flat noodle that gives it a great texture. Plus, it's not greasy! Rejoice! Stay away from the American-style dishes here, though (fried meat in sauce). That's not their forte. Get spicy tofu or any of the veggie dishes, you will not be sorry.
