Always good
This is my go to for chinese in the neighborhood and they never fail. The preparation and quality of the food is excellent, and a clear step above other chinese places around here.

Threw most of it away
Hard to understand how this place could have any good reviews. The food is greasy! Three of us got entrees and appetizers to go. The chicken in the chicken satay was rubbery and possibly not even chicken (don't want to know what). The boneless duck was inedible brown glop. We will never eat here again. I tried it shortly after it opened; the food wasn't good but now it's worse. the decor and atmosphere are nice.

Wonderful
I have a great time every time I visit. The staff is so friendly and its just a nice cool small place to hang with friends. Food is awesome and the prices are super reasonable.

Updated Review - Still Great!
My BF and I treat ourselves to Red Bowl about once a month. It's too expensive to order regularly, or else we would. This past weekend our delivery arrived in less than 30 minutes piping hot - we actually had to wait for it to cool! We were very disappointed by the portions - they seem to have shrunk, making it a poorer value than a year (or 2-4 yrs ago) years ago. Our crispy beef (which is now $11.50, yikes!) and general tso's filled maybe half the container. Our scallion pancake, tho only $4, was only 1 pancake and very small. Not worth ordering. Szechuan fried rice is still the best thing on the menu. Crab rangoon has almost no crab in it anymore, and they started giving 5 rangoons when they used to give 6. Everything tasted excellent as usual, but we should have some leftovers when ordering 2 main dishes, fried rice and 2 apps at a whopping $55 after tax and tip. Not sure if I ever mentioned before, but dining in is always pleasant - nice atmosphere and usually friendly staff.

Great Chinese food in Brooklyn !
We love it . The wonton soup is the best, and let's not forget the beef chow fun, yum.

Favorite chinese food in town
Red Bowl is our favorite place for chinese food, the people who work there are always extremely friendly and they always get our order right. The food is delicious and not overly priced. I highly recommend Red Bowl, i've been hooked on it since i first moved to williamsburg

still the best
It's true, 2+ ago Red Bowl was even better than it is now. They used to go the extra mile - special touches like candied walnuts with your spring rolls, larger servings and they had a sweet almost loving staff. It's lost it's shimmer somewhat since going bare minimum, but the food is still damn good. Pricey but worth it. The Szechuan Fried Rice is my crack. They used to make it so spicy I couldn't get through two bites. Now I have to ask for it extra spicy for that sweaty heat. Crab Rangoons are phenom. Spring Rolls are so good, but a little pricey for what you get. The crispy beef has become my new favorite, but general tso's is an old standby. I've had a lot of other items on the menu, all above average. Fingers crossed they start going the extra mile again!
