Although the dishes were well-prepared as far as presentation and not being greasy, the taste of everything was unfortunately very bland. For instance, the "fried rice" was just rice with tons of green onions in it--and although these green onions lended some flavor to the rice, it was an unpleasant one. There seemed to be no soy sauce, carrots, egg, etc. Furthermore, the "teryaki sauce" was a mildly sweet gel substance that made me feel sick after a few bites. I've had teryaki many times at other restaurants, and this was not at all similar.

Great vegetarian and vegan food. That's it. Cramped, tiny and loud. The waitresses were incredibly loud and gossiping among each other, ignoring tables. The noise was incredible (mainly from the wait staff gathered at the register) and the restaurant was only half-full. The air conditioning was not working and the beer was warm. It took forever to pay our bill. Never ever going back there again.

My favorite restauraunt!!!! I've been vegan about 8 years, and never have i eaten so good. my boyfriend is a non-veg, and he loves it too. if you go, try to go a little earlier in the day. it gets very crowded at night, with the wait to sit being from 10-20 min. but it's SO worth it!!!! all their vegan deserts are amazing, but the best is the Brownie bottom cheesecake. Oh my god, orgasm on a plate!!!!! a little pricy at 6 bucks a slice, but it's a big slice, and completly worth it. all of their cheesecakes are amazing. best food choice? the creole soul chicken, bbq ribs, and buffalo wings. oh and the sweet and sour chicken. and the chicken parm sandwhich. hell, it's all so yummy! I just wish there was more space, the xmall tables are a little cramped and there's always tons of people. but the waitresses are all super nice- and the menu is cleary labeled for us vegans! and you can get take out there in like 10 min. Yummy!

I'm a meat eater but was very excited about trying this restaurant. I thought the food was fine, but not great. My issue with it had nothing to do with the fact that it was vegetarian, in fact, I was very plesantly surprised by that and didn't miss the meat at all. The problem was every dish (our table had the wings, asian dumplings, soul chicken, chicken curry, and mashed potatoes) was either too sweet or too heavily sauced/too salty. You can almost taste the sugar. So I'm not sure how healthy that really is.

Great selection- every time I have been, I've enjoyed myself. My boyfriend is not a vegetarian and he likes it too.

the food here is great. fake meat takes some getting used to, but if you miss eating flesh and are sticking to your guns - red bamboo does a nice job! very tasty and everything was fresh. Service was a little slow, but they can afford it - the restaurant was packed.

Red Bamboo is by far the cheapest and best vegetarian restaurant out there. Try the mint chocolate chip milkshake.
