Best Vegetarian Food!
I love this place. The food is fantastic, service is great, prices reasonable. What more can you ask for in NYC? I just ate a guilt-free burger. Life is beautiful.

Whiners. This place is amazing!
People who complain about the service in this place are whiny. This is NYC, they have to change tables out to make oney. Anyone who ever worked in a restaurant knows that. Anyway, best vegetarian food anywhere in NYC, I've never felt rushed because I understand when you're done eating, you leave. Duh. That doesn't make for bad service! They are quick and polite. They just don't need your butt warming their chair all night, go to a pub.

I love this place
I had such an amazing curry "chicken" dish followed by the most delicious mind blowing chocolate covered strawberry shortcake. I will absolutely be returning. Our waiter was really fantastic too.

This is one of my favorite places to eat in Manhattan
I have eaten many times in the Red Bamboo and have always found it to be a delightful place to go. Simple food, nice presentation, fair pricing. Even Carnivores will enjoy this vegetarian restaurant.

Happily surprised!
Unlike other reviews, I found that my friend and I had absolutely no problem with wait time, feeling rushed, or any problems with the waitstaff. I felt that everyone was very attentive and helpful. The vast selection of faux-meat dishes was absolutely amazing. I got the Unagi and my friend got the mango shrimp and both were amazing. I actually eat meat and found it really amazing that those dishes were all veg! We also had appetizer and dessert and yet each walked away with a bill of about $25. Definitely worth going to again!

The one in Brooklyn is better
I've been going to the one in Brooklyn for years and decided to pop in this one while in the village. The food was pretty much the same but the BK Red Bamboo has way better atmosphere.

Awesome food, cramped location
Food is great, alot of variety! The downside about the NYC location is that it's way to small for the crowds that come in. If you go to the on in Brooklyn, it's a totally different scene. The restaurant is big with inside as well as plenty of outside seating
