came here last night -place got good reviews- however my boyfriend and i were very disappointed. Place was cute and cozy but the food was not good. The scallops were undercooked and the short rib was tough and more like a stew then a good piece of meat... and it was not cheap.My boyfriend got the lambchops which he said was mediocre. Very unsatisfactory meal- i dont recommend eating here and i will not return

Based on my experience last night, this wee, spare establishment (5 indoor tables and a bar) is serving some of the very best food on the UWS. Nothing on the menu did not appeal, and my dining companion and I had a hard time choosing. What we each got was inventive, prettily displayed, and delicious. My appetizer beef cheek tortolini, scattered with corn and diced chayote and in a sprightly yogurt/salsa verde sauce, was lovely; the same was true of the main course soft shell crab (actually an appetizer) with thinly (perhaps too thinly) sliced heirloom tomatoes. The waiter was attentive and helpful. And, although some reviewers have complained about the small space, it has the advantage of a fairly low noise level (after all, how much noise can about 15-20 people make?) They do take reservations. Very much recommended.

I knew it would be tiny after reading the reviews but was not prepared for sitting cheek to jowl with diners at the tables next to us. There is roughly 10inches between the tables! Moreover the chairs were hard and very uncomfortable. Looked like they were rescued from an elementary school dumpster. My companion had the risotto which was quite good but the deep fried fish was tough and accompanied with overcooked kale and undercooked, unidentifiable stems. I would not return since the just Ok food does not make up for the poor atmosphere diners must endure.

Wow. Wanted to try it... Stopped by tonight and was able to get a table- everything was amazing - I had the halibut and my boyfriend the bass special both seasoned to perfection. Nice assortment of beer and the fruit punch cocktail was super nice. Being there are so many restaurants in the city we always try to eat at different restaurants every time we go out but we are definitely going to return to recipe!

Had a lovely dinner here on Mother's Day, when I was hoping to find a place not overrun with families (this place is too tiny for that) First time here, and couldn't have enjoyed it more. The food was delicious - had a special soft-shell crab salad that was great, and the sea bass was prepared perfectly. My companion had the mac & cheese and the range hen, which were both very good. Service was perfect. Will definitely visit again next time I'm in NYC.

This place isn;t as good as people say. Even the full size meals are tiny. The food is ok but not made fresh, seems reheated. The bartender is quite nice. A bit pricey for what it is.
