    Really disappointing...

I had really high hopes about this small restaurant. Went for brunch, waiting the food for 45 minutes, disappointing food, not much flavor, doesnt convey originality nor quality, small portions and lack of charm from decor and baaad music! I still dont get this loud , disco music on sundays brunch!! Pity.

    yikes, where's the food?

Very frustrating. They told us the portions were small but not ity bity. the food was delicious but unless you are a hedge fund manager on an expense account or had pizza before you came, you will leave hungry. A little too precious and outrageously expensive for what you get.

    An annoying ending

Everything appeared to be an indication of a special dinner and a special place. Then we realized that the courses were served so quickly that we did not have nearly enough time between those courses to enjoy our anniversary fully. Before we even finished our dessert, the check was placed on our table and made us feel the restaurant was telling us it was time to leave and our stay was finished. We thought it was quite rude and simply unheard of for what should have been a warm, friendly, inviting West Village restaurant. From the time we entered to the time we left it was 75 minutes. Unheard of and unacceptable, especially since it was our 35th wedding anniversary celebration. Will never go back and it is a shame as we live only a few blocks from the restaurant.

    Seriously good food

The food here is absolutely fantastic. We are real foodies and we can't remember when we had a meal that was more delicious or creative. I don't want to be rude about other reviewers but I think those writing negative reviews on the basis of portion size have missed the point. This is fantastic food, in tasting plates. We in fact only needed an appetizer and an entree each anyway, so the smaller size portion didn't leave us unsatisfied at all. It was completely delicious, the wine was excellent, the service was fantastic and attentive, and we left on a real high. Couldn't recommend more highly.

Bad decor, itty bitty portions, no water refills

This place is having an identity crisis- the lights look like they are from K-Mart and the bathrooms are decorated "country" . The wall pictures and mirrors are just odd. Portions are insanely tiny but not the price-tag and we had to repeatedly ask for our water to be refilled. We kept having to ask for them to turn down the AC as the restaurant felt like a freezer- even the bathrooms. Good cocktails, but food could've been much better given all the hype.

    Tiny portions at brunch

Not satisfied with their brunch. I had the "steak" and eggs. The hanger steak was seasoned and cooked well (medium rare) but very small portion for $15. Also, the server did not ask how I wanted it cooked. I had to tell her medium rare. "Country toast" was a joke... basically a slice of grilled Wonder Bread.
