    Best lunch in DUMBO

I work here in DUMBO and continue going back to the ReBar for lunch because they are so consistently good and they're inexpensive rotating menu is always phenomenal. The beers are also on rotation and are just as good as the food they serve. If you like burgers, ya gotta try their ReBurger. Mouth is currently watering.

    Great night out!

We had the most terrific time at reBAR. Our waitress, Cassie, was just the nicest and the service was excellent. It sounds like the restaurant has made improvements based on reviews because we found the service to be very attentive and timely. They even comped us a bunch of appetizers and desserts explaining that they really value the people in the neighborhood and want return customers. I had the filet mignon which was tasty and tender. We also really enjoyed the polenta appetizer and the chocolate mint dessert. The decor is welcoming and cool. I only found the bathroom to be a bit strange since it's practically outside the restaurant. Overall, the experience was great and we would definitely recommend it, as well as return.

    From good to bad

I frequently go to ReBar and have always enjoyed my time there, mostly because the menu was diverse and everything was tasty. I recently went to ReBar and the menu is now very limited, much more expensive, and the food was just OK. The service was poor and slow. There are not very many places to go to in DUMBO and now I have to take this one off the list of quality go-to places in the area.

    Food great but extremely slow

After my 4th time to eating dinner at Rebar, I have exercised my patience to the last bit. Even when the restaurant seemed to be empty, the kitchen is always backed up. On my last visit, it took 1.5 hours for 2 plates to come out, and we almost walked out. Our check was discounted, and the server apologized. If you are in no hurry, check out this place. The food is great. If you want a fast meal- don't count on it.

the service isn't good but still a great bar

okay, this is actually my first MenuPages review ever, but i just felt pressured to say something. the food here is GREAT, and the kitchen stays open till 2AM on weekdays, and they have an incredible beer selection. they have this one belgian beer on draft that's about 11 bucks, served in a special glass that's a super-super sweet amber pale-ale, also a heffaweissen, and pretty much no other place in the city has it!! it's called Kawk or something, i'm not sure, but this is the only place that has it, and it's great. beyond that, the bartenders have always been helpful in helping pick a beer from their huge selection and a good dish to go along with it. the food is excellent but it DOES take a long time to come out. it's gotten better, i was there the first night the new chef was working and it took nearly an hour for me and my three friends to get our dishes, but i just went back last night and that wait-time was nearly cut-in half. long time, but hey, where else can you get yummy merguez and artisan beer at 1 in the morning on a weeknight?

    Good Choice in Brooklyn

I stumbled into reBar accidentially one afternoon and am so glad I did. This is a great spot frequented by locals who want to steer clear of the tourist scene. I'll definitely be back.

great place to pick you up when you are down

I was there recently on a sunday night after losing my job and the bartender was able to sense that something was wrong and he comforted me through these hard times and inspired me to not give up everything will be ok... I love that place employees are great, the food needs some help but i guess you cant have everything.
