Never Disappoints
The varied menu should satisfy any hunger pang, from snack to three course dinner. I have been getting food from here for about ten years and have served it to many friends over the years. They agree it raises ready to eat food to a new high. The soups are delicious, the salads wonderfully fresh and who'd believe that a ready made sandwich would be this good. Entres and coffee are delicious as are the varied desserts. Now if they just had mashed potatoes available at lunch time...

Delicious
Great, delicious, fresh prepared food. Never personally had an problem with poor service here. Favorites are the Thai beef salad and the chicken sandwich with sprouts, apples, and brie. Yum! A little pricey, but worth it for such tasty food. Never tried any of the hot offerings, but it all looks great as well.

Glad to Have You Around - Ready to Eat
Glad to have you around - Ready to Eat. You are an asset to the Village and my nutrition and health. Thank you. Thank you. What a beautiful choice you prepare. What delicious ingredients. I appreciate all that you do to make and keep fresh sides, soups, salads and desserts out there for us Villagers. I just ate the Cobb Salad that I grabbed on my way to work this morning. It's enough for breakfast, and then lunch. I had to write. Your salad with the best blue cheese, the hard boiled egg, a full 4-6 ozs grilled chicken, the avocado, and the greens is a VALUE & excellent. Don't change your ways. I love the new additions. The Butternut-Pumpkin Puree soup last night was delightful.

Delicious food - Friendly Service
Garlic mashed potatoes, corn or squash, and one of the entrees and I'm ready to go for the night! Excellent price and value. On days off, I call in. I love the shrimp salad with acocado, the cobb salad with yummy blue cheese and avocado, or the Greek salad with feta, grilled chicken, Green olives, and greens. The romaine lettuce and mesclum greens are always fresh! The tomato, cucumber, and cooked vegetables -- green beans, butternut squash, rutebaga, brussessl sprouts, asparagus -- are perfect. The portions are generous. The yogurt parfait has fresh blueberries, blackberries and raspberries. A dessert, a lunch, or a brreakfast. delish.

Food Not Worth The Attitude
Slightly fresher and healthier take-out fare for the village, but definitely not worth the staff's attitude. Sandwiches are made every day, salads are fresh, and they have a nice selection of baked entrees for dinner take-out. Strictly a neighborhood shop. That said, it is surprising how openly rude they are to their customers. Unfriendly is not a village adjective!

A Gem - All Quality - Fresh Food
We love our neighbor Ready to Eat.-- we've been ordering from them for 6 years. They serve up quality, fresh food, consistenly excellent . Their soups follow the seasons - -butternut squash ginger, split pea, cream of asparagus, with a choice of at least three on any one day. The soups come with dark bread or light bread, homemade. Any time of day, the granola-yogurt-three berry parfait is wonderful, with consistently fresh and perfect berries. The salads here are feeding the neighborhood. Keeping us healthy, filled & satisfied. The servings of protein and vegetables make a two meal fare, at least -- enough to take one salad to work and have it for breakfast, lunch, and a late afternoon snack. Now this is money well spent and a value for what you get. The cobb salad has the best blue cheese, eggs, fresh avocado half...and more. The curried shrimp salad has delightful medium shrimp atop greens, with avacado half and lemon half. Wonderful & fresh. At least five more salads--caesar with generous portion of chicken, thai with beef over greens; and Greek with feta and generous portion of chicken, daily. Regulars stream into Ready to Eat from late breakfast through dinner time to get these salads. The fish, poultry, vegetarian, pasta, and meat entrees come with a side. The side choices are fresh vegetables, pastas, or grains -- generous portions -- fresh green beans, fresh zucchini, homemade mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, beets, and others. Occasionally I have a piece of the wonderful carrot cake -- and they warm it up for me if I ask. On a winter night when it's snowing out, the soups from here, or the carrot cake, just satisfy terrifically. On a work day, whether working at home, or at my workplace, having a salad in hand from Ready to Eat makes me feel cared about, like I've done a really good thing. The people at Ready to Eat put a lot of effort and care into the preparation of their food -- it shows. Thank you.
