Disappointed
Wanted to like this place but fish tasted dry and like it was reconstituted; chips stuck together and over-fried; onion rings looked like they came out of a frozen food bag.

Fish and chips are great
My ONLY problem with the wonderful welcoming Reade Street Pub is that the fish and chips only appear on the menu on Fridays and Saturdays. I want them now and it's Wednesday!

Best Pub in NYC
RSP is awesome. I highly recommend it! Great food, great beer, great atmosphere. Thursday nights (and some Saturday nights) they have live music and the place is packed. There are always 'regulars' at the bar (fun, super cool people) and there is definitely a reason they keep coming back! The bartenders are great and always greet you with a hello and a smile! A MUST SEE!

Hidden Gem
This is the best bar in the city, hands down! Great atmosphere, great bartenders, great beer. There is always a friendly local to have a chat with too, what more would you want from a pub!

Surprised they haven't kicked me out yet
Reade Street is the absolute best bar in the city. I live nearby, and I always find myself mysteriously drawn in the doors after deciding it's time to go in for the night. The bartenders and waitstaff are amazing, quick to serve with great conversation. The Reade Street Pub Ale on tab is a great micro-brew, and the jukebox there has no equal. Highest recommendations!

Great Place to Relax
I stayed in New York recently and quite by accident found myself at the RSPK for a beer at the end of a long day. The music was good, the crowd was welcoming and casual, the staff was attentive and the beer was cheap (especially by NY standards) and cold. A great place to end your day, I will be back.

Best neighborhood pub in NYC
I lived in NYC for 3 years not far from RSP&K and wandered in late at night on the way home from work. Good bar food, cheap drinks, cold beer, friendly regulars, a great barstaff (say hello to Jimmy) and Pogues on the jukebox. I don't live in NYC anymore and I miss that place.
