new place, great potential
I went to Rayuela during the first week of opening and although the service was a little slow everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming. It was their first week though! You have to give them a little time to work out the kinks - I will definitely be going again. The foods was great, very nice space and wonderful staff. Not too "hipster" but still cool - which is refreshing for the LES - I recommend giving it a try.

good food, nice decor, poor service
i went soon after the restaurant opened, there are obviously a few kinks the wait staff still needs to work out. they sat us 30 minutes after our reservation, and it took over an hour and a half to get our entrees. The food was good and the decor is classy, but there is no excuse for service that bad. The wait staff was friendly but had to be reminded that we didn' have all night to sit and wait. Won't be going back unless I have an entire day to kill.
