Ravagh

Down here for a few days from Toronto. Checked out the reviews for this restaurant and thought it would be worth the try. Food was OUTSTANDING. We had the Kebab sultani and Salmon Shish Kebab. Both were marinated and cooked to perfection. For appetizers we had Ash and Bademjan - also excellent. Serivce was courteous, efficient and quick. The wine was also quite nice. All around excellent - no hesitation in recommending this restaurant. My only critique is the decor - sedate and quite comfortable but dull. Not one single piece of decoration anywhere. I think perhaps some Persian miniatures (paintings) on the walls and a couple of tasteful trinkets would give the place some warmth and character. But this in no way detracts from the food - wonderful and large portions too.

You can't go wrong at this spot....the chicken breast kabob is simply amazing....juicy, lean and just the best!

This place is awesome. We take everyone there. The kubideh is really excellent. Everything else is pretty good too. The drinks aren't that great. But the food is worth the trip. The meals are VERY large, so sharing is a good idea.

I dined at Ravagh and I was happy with my meal. The price was very reasonable for the portion of food that I got. The food tasted good, and I was happy overall. However, the alcoholic drink we ordered was not as good as the food. It was a martini that came to me in a wine glass with lots of ice and it smelled and tasted like rubbing alcohol. I asked to have the drink diluted so I could make another attempt to drink it, and the drink came back worse and a different color than it was originally. Anyway, the food was good, the drinks were not. So just eat there and go get your drink on elsewhere, but the food sure is tasty and a great value.

I love the kubideh kabobs here. I also love the chicken dish with pomegranate and walnuts, its flavourful and fresh. The restaurant itself is nothing special, with simple linens and tables located at street level (ie. down a few stairs). The service is also hit or miss, i am not very impressed by the waitress's who don't seem to know the menu very well. But it's great food and a great price.

As a persian I can truly say that Ravagh has it right. The food is incredible and the price is great. Probably the best persian food i've had outside of home...

I usually get delivery, so I've never eaten in the restaurant (though I have done pick up). However, food is always very good: simple, but well-prepared. I order from here several times per week and get the plain, but delicious, chicken kebab platter. Delivery is slow, however, but definitely worth the wait (I suppose a full dining room slows them down). Expect waits of 45 mintues for delivery (although they do have a huge delivery area).
