I love the food at Ravagh and get delivery from the 30th Street location at least once a week. I'll keep ordering, too, because it's so tasty. But, after each delivery I swear I will never order from there again. The order is almost always messed up. Ask for rice; they send you salad and pita. Ask for well done; it comes raw. Ask for mast & khiar; they send you mast & moosir. Order two torshi; get one. It's a joke. Every time I call, I give very clear orders ("last time you sent me pita, but I want rice. Please send rice this time"), and every time the order is messed up again in some new way. Actually, I take that back; the female hostess who answers almost always gets it right, but she rarely answers when I call. I get the guy, and the guy can't take an order to save his life. I've tried hanging up when he answers and calling back later, but it seems like he has the phone during key delivery hours, or he has some strange ability to know when I'm calling. If Ravagh folks are reading, please ALWAYS let the female hostess answer the phone for delivery orders. Nonetheless, I'll continue this abusive relationship: I know something is going to be wrong, but I'll keep coming back for more because the food is great. If ever a Persian restaurant opens up in my delivery area with similarly good food, however, I'll never order from Ravagh again. Until that day, I'll keep coming back for more, hating myself and them the whole time.

If you order the hummas the only send one piece of pita to go with it. Even if you request extra.

I ordered takeout from Ravagh that took an hour and half to arrive, was cold when it did arrive, and the chicken dish I ordered was not cooked through. I called to complain about the chicken. The person on the phone was very bored and uninterested, and actually told me to specify that I want 'well done' chicken next time. Hmm, I was under the impression that rare chicken was not edible. Don't worry, there won't be a next time.

Me and my husband order from here (delivery) all the time!!! Each meat kebab entree comes in a huge foil tray and so much rice that 3 people can eat it!!! With grilled tomatoes and onions!!! My favorite is the sultani - a def must try! And definitely try the oliveh salad (an egg salad/potato type of thing garnished with sliced mini pickles!!! One of my favorite restaurants!

I'd never tried Persian food before but I was pleasantly surprised by the food at Ravagh. From the appetizers, to the ash, to the kebabs, and the dessert- everything was delicious and very filling. Ravagh gives HUGE portions so make sure not to fill up on too much bread and appetizers. The service was excellent- we had 2 waiters coming by our table and making sure we were satisfied. The restaurant wasn't busy when I went but it started to pick up around 9pm. There were mostly Iranians there which indicates the authenticity of the food. The atmosphere was probably the most comfortable restaurant atmosphere I'd ever been in. Since it wasn't so busy, people were staying after their meals to talk or chat. It was very chill and a nice change from many restaurants. They could put some pictures of Iran or Persian culture on the walls but the food makes up for the ambience. I particularly recommend the ash and the sambuseh. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to try Persian food!
