    Wonderful in every way!

This is one of the most pleasant dining experiences I've had in manhattan, where I usually end up feeling ripped off and annoyed. The atmosphere was really pleasant-they had live music and cute decor. The service was so attentive and welcoming, a real pleasure. The prices were ridiculously reasonable, the food was delicious (although if you like spicy indian, ask for extra spice), and they gave us free mango ice cream for dessert. I will definitely be going back.

    Dig it well

It's my default Indian take out spot. I don't think it'll change anyone's life, but this is solid Indian for VERY good prices.

    unsatisfying

The food looked delicious but was tasteless, lacking spice, lacking heat and greassy. I ordered tandori chicken. The ambiance was comfortable. The prices are unbelieveable. The service was the highlight of the evening.

    Excellent food

I order their take out every once in a while and it is always satisfying (I've never had a problem with cold food, though we are only four blocks away). Cheap and cheerful is always a winner. We're celebrating a birthday there soon. They are ordering a cake for us...on the house. Really, you can't beat that with a stick!

    Best Indian Food

I was never a big fan of Indian food until I ate here. I love the Chicken Tikka Masala, and the lunch special is a really good deal ($6). This place is also good for ordering out for lunch meetings. The only thing is that they always try to get you to order more naan bread (over the phone).

    addictive

This place began as a menupages search and has become a staple. I love coming in from Brooklyn when I have a craving because the food is so great!

    Excellent!

As a Desi I have tasted Indian food at MANY places, and this place is (by far) the best value you'll find in NYC. Service is quick, friendly, and homely (in a good way). The service is good, paced to allow inter-personal dinners, tables are not crammed together. If you are taller than 6' you should be prepared to duck a bit when you enter the establishment. The food is absolutely fantastic, really superb, ingredients are top notch, spices are not over/under done, and the result certainly shows it! I could eat at this place every week night!
