It is the "best"
Well, if you been to the middle east, and you really know how falafel and shawerma should taste. then rainbow is number one. For sure.

Falafel lover
Rainbow is quite good but I do question its cleanliness. The price is right but I'd pay more to order from a nicer place. Love Union Square location.

Best falafel
I beg to differ with all of the reviews of Rainbow falafel. I moved out of New York and Rainbow falafel is one of the places that I miss most. Their food is amazing and it is so nice to eat it in the park. The line can get a bit long but it is so so so worth it. The people that work there are so sweet too. I think that it is a true NYC landmark. I would highly recomend this little place to anyone!

Not the best but cheap and good
No it's not the best, and its a tiny hole in the wall, and not a big menu. ...BUT! The food is not bad, REALLY CHEAP, fast, not greasy, and overall taste is super OK, and very not bad. Its around Union and close to work. I'm not complaining a bit. In fact, I'm going back.

Not bad
Not bad, but it's no Mamoun's -- that's for sure!

Not Recommended
I have seen the reviews by other customers and I betcha they haven't tasted Mahmoun's falafel in McDougal. Cause if they did, they won't be saying that it's the best falafel in NYC. It tastes bland all together, the sauce and the fried chick peas and the hot sauce didn't help to at least uplift the taste. I was craving for a falafel, but since Rainbow is much closer to my work than Mahmoun's, I made the wrong decision of going there. I would have rather sacrifice the few blocks that I need to walk rather than have the food that doesn't suit my taste, it's too sour. I would never, ever short change myself again. Tomorrow, I will put on my flat shoes and head down to McDougal street to buy me their delicious...delicious and cheaper falafel sandwich.

You'll Never Get Over This Rainbow!
I forgot what it is . . . something about the oil they use I think . . . but whatever it is, their falafels taste better than any other falafels you're gonna find in all of Manhattan. Get in line!
