Best Soul Food North of the Mason-Dixon
I've had delivery from Rack and Soul three times. The delivery was prompt; food arrived piping hot. The phone help were courteous and friendly, and the food... perfect crispy not greasy fried chicken, falling off the bone ribs. And the collard greens are great too. My only constructive criticism? The biscuits are a little puny. Maybe there could be two to an order? Otherwise, top notch.

Bring It On Is The Best Movie EVER
The food was pretty subpar and inauthentic; the server was completely apathetic, but at least they were playing "Bring It On" on the big screen TV, with sound and everything, and you really can't ask for much more at Saturday morning brunch.

Good food poor delivery
I've had food delivered and it took well over an hour. The food is very good but make sure you can handle warm food. The ribs and bbq chicken are worth every penny if somehow they can get to you quickly!

Great Addition to the Hood
Been to R&S every month or so since it first opened in May and after a little bit of a shaky start, the place is getting it down. The ribs are an absolute pleasure -- smoky, fall off the bone meat. Really intense BBQ flavor comparable if not better than many other top NYC cue spots (Dinosaur, RUB, Blue Smoke etc). But the real reason to go is for the fried chicken. I'm not even a fried chicken guy and this could make me a convert. Just awesome. Tea and lemonade were both a little on the sweet side (I guess it is called sweet tea for a reason) -- sides were fine (mac n' cheese the best of the bunch). Very pleasant service and dinner for 2 with tip was $50. Great addition to the 'hood.

Stop complaining already!
Incredibly delicious BBQ'd chicken. The kind that's not so much BBQ'd, as smoked. Reasonable prices. Stay as long as you like, or eat and go, they don't really care -- and neither should you.

Food is good
The Food at this restaurant has been the best I have had in a while. Thank God for real food being cooked not like some other places that use can foods. I tell everyone that loves real soul food to go there. I am very picky when it comes to my soul food. The Sweat tea and the Lemonade is great.

I'm disappointed and even a little angry
We ate here last night (7/29/06). My disappointment began early when I ordered short ribs and was told they didn't have any (7:00 p.m. on a Saturday night). Then, I ordered candied yams as a side dish and were told they were out of those as well. OK, I ordered my second choices. The food was OK...a little too salty for my taste. We asked to have our leftovers wrapped to go. This took an extraordinarily long time. Finally, our waitress came back with the doggie bag and told us that my meal had "dropped" so they gave me a new portion. As bizarre as that was, it was sort of nice of them.
