I enjoyed Rachel's very much when they first opened, but the food has gown down in quality and the staff is absolutely rude. I have never experienced slower more inaccurate delivery service in any burough.

I know that sounds extreme. But NYC has some pretty lousy veggie burritos. Many places want to put watery steamed veggies in their burritos, and one often finds cabbage and carrots inside. The Park Slope Vegetarian is packed with beans, rice, cheese, guacamole, sour cream, and salsa. It is delicious. And very cheap. The tortilla has a tendency to fall apart, but other than that, a really phenomenal and tasty burrito like I haven't been able to find in the six years (and three boroughs) I've lived in NYC.

like the title says, i get the veggie burrito every time and i'm always very satisfied. i'm from santa cruz so i'm very picky about my mexican food but rachel's hits the mark.

I went to this place last night for the first time. The layout and decoration is great. The staff was rude. I consider myself a good judge of Mexican food, I grew up in a mostly hispanic town on the Texas Mexico border. Chicken burritos are not suppossed to just taste like chili powder.

i order from this place almost once a week. the delivery is fast, and you get a lot of food for a low price. i had the nachos once which were nothing great (i am a nachoholic) but the burritos are damn good. i like choosing the type of beans, rice, and tortilla, and the veggies are sauteed fresh and they don't skimp on the filling. i have some on the way right now - yum!!

The food was just below average and the service was was not good. The staff was in a poor mood, and they let you know it.

The food here is very good for the price. The Baja burrito is yummy, and large. And their chicken tortilla soup is excellent. And for only $5 you can get 1/2 a chicken with rice, beans & tortillas. Where else in Park Slope can you get that kind of a deal?? This is not a high-class, wine & dine spot, but it isn't meant to be. This is a nice place to go with friends, laugh out loud, have a great meal without breaking your wallet. And the crowds I find on the weekends attest to its rising popularity.
