I've been to San Clemente and this place does a great job of reminding me of that trip. But, more importantly, the food is very good.....Tortillas are the real thing, excellent carnitas tacos, great fish tacos, great mole chicken burrito's.....The service can be less than attentive at times, but then again, I don't go to restaurants to be impressed by smiles and fawned over. I go to eat good food...take out works well..

Ate here with friends a few nights ago. The service was exceptional! Friendly wait and bar staff attended to every need without getting in the way of conversation. The staff was great about helping us with a last-minute table for eight. The food was phenomenal! I had the tex-mex relleno, enchilada, and taco plate and felt like I was back in Baja. Superb and authentic Mexican food.

i stopped in here once with a friend and now i'm a regular. Their menu is full of fun options, the food is good, the service is friendly. now that they've remodeled they even have a bar. If you're around the area I definitely suggest you stop in!

I usually get takeout vegetarian burrittos here, but the other day I stopped in an they had redone the place with a bar. It actually looks pretty great. The burritos are good--a little too much rice and they need to drain he lettuce better before putting it in--but burritos are all about just getting full, right?

I don't know what's up with the few previous reviewers, but Rachel's never dissapoints. They have always had satisfying dishes, friendly service, and now they also have booze! I seriously have not had a bad meal here, and the usual evening waitress is nice to the point that you almost think it's fake...almost. Part of enjoying Rachel's is laying back (now with a margarita) and getting into a bit of So-Cal vibe. Taquitos, burritos, fresh guac, pollo verde, this place rocks. I actually enjoy, unlike my fiance, the classic rock thats usually on also. Previous negative reviewers just might suffer from Slopey syndrome. When they said jump, Rachels said "hola".

I work in the neighborhood and enjoy ordering from Rachel's quite often, but I have a hard time dealing with the staff. I find them very rude and have no sense of urgency when it comes to preparing your order. Also one time I sat outside and they just left my food sitting on the counter instead of trying to find who it belonged to. I have since decided to just get my food delivered instead. At least I only have to deal with the rudeness as long as my phone order takes.

The food is great, really decent Cali-Mex. The staff on the other hand are rude, mean, and disaffected. From the manager on down, they are so difficult to deal with. Iit seriously takes away from the eating experience. I had friends in from out of town, and they were amazed that a wait staff could care so little. Too bad, as the food really is tasty.
