The tortilla chips were quite good though the salsa tasted like it came from a jar. Wasn't very impressed with the three tacos I ordered. The shrimp was pre-cooked and cool, the barbacoa was dry, and the carnitas taco tasted pretty good. The double tortillas for all of the tacos completely disintegrated and ended up eating my tacos with a fork. My dining companion liked his corn and spinach enchiladas with mole sauce, but the beans were too sweet, reminiscent of mashed Boston baked beans.

Nothing i have tried from this place has impressed me, and it's all a little on the bland side. Sure, the carne asada has some kick, but that's the point! Their soft taco shells are dry and fall apart, and their veggies don't always seem the freshest. Forget about delivery, absolutely not something they should even offer. They are clearly struggling with that service. They either refuse to deliver at all, or as another reviewer said, it could be a 1-2 hour wait. The food isn't good enough to make the effort, even for eat-in or take-out.

Just ordered delivery and am very pleased. The woman on the phone was very nice and it got to my place, which is just around the corner, very quickly. My favorite things about Rachel's: you can order your beans refried and they have ground beef/homemade hardshell tacos.

Today for the second time, I was told delivery from Rachel's would take an hour, after an hour and a half I called and they claimed the delivery guy came and no one was here (untrue). 20 minutes later he redelivered a cold burrito and the side of guacamole was open and all over the inside of the bag, and the people on the phone hung up on me. I like the food a lot but definitely do not recommend delivery!

I was hesistant to try this restaurant because I am against restaurants who called themselves Mexican, and are fake. And this is by no means a MEXICAN Taqueria, but it is a Cal-Mex restaurant and they make sure to inform you about this on their menu. The ambiance is very cool and laid-back. On a Saturday evening, we got seated right away. They give you chips and "American version" salsa (it not hot, tastes like tomatoes) which was pretty good. I tried their Coconut Margarita and it didn't dissappoint me! Next I tried their Steak Fajitas and it was very delicious. It had a delicious "sazon", (flavor in English) and it came with 2 corn tortillas, rice, beans, guacamole, and picadillo on the side. It filled me up! My bf had a chicken quesdilla and couldn't finish it all, but did say it was good. The portions are generous! The service was good, just that at the end, the waitress forgot to bring my bf his 2nd beer; but it was not a big deal since we were not in a rush. If you are looking for authentic Mexican food, do not go there. But if you want tex-mex or cal-mex food, then I would definitely recommend.

Nice looking place, which now we have found, is pretty much all they have going for them. The food wasn't anything better than what you can make at home and they didn't have hot green sauce. The biggest bummer though was I got a drink spilled on me, then they forgot to bring extra napkins, and to top it off: they never comped it. I don't get it- if restaurants want to have returning customers (especially in this neighborhood) they got to hook it up. Rachel's didn't.

They deliver when they feel like it, and are rude when they don't. The last time I called, they said delivery would be an hour like the previous poster said, but the food was here in 30 minutes... missing a few items, and priced higher than the menu. I called just now, and again, they wouldn't deliver. I'm done with rachels.
