Home Away from Home
I am quite literally obsessed with QC... check their website daily for menu updates, which perpetually change. Some of the most playful, unique, and comforting dishes anywhere in the city. By far, the best brunch anywhere. The owner's mom and sis make the baked goods, like salted caramel bread pudding and cereal bars with homemade jam. Eggs crown several dishes, like an open-faced english muffin with bechamel, bacon, and gouda. The mac and cheese wins awards, available in varieties from bacon-scallion to buffalo chicken, three leek, and even meatloaf crumbles. The chicken finger breaded in cap'n crunch with bacon caramel are legendary. And it's all served in a chill diner-turned-local hangout with some of the most genuine, friendly staff in the whole city. Seafood isn't always on the menu, but if you see they have lobster rolls, crabcakes, or even lobster benedicts... run, don't walk.
