A worthwhile Leap
As a vegetarian, I'm always on a mission looking for good vegetarian cuisine, and this restaurant satisfies that very well. Food Quality- I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of vegetarian as well as vegan dishes they had... which were actually good.(Just because I'm a vegetarian doesn't me I don't appreciate the savory part of life). The vegan dessert dishes were also a pleasant surprise. Atmosphere- a cozy intimate setting for friends to meet up. Value & Service- A bit pricey, but what vegetarian with a wide range of variety isn't. Whenever I'm in doubt of good vegetarian food, I usually end up here, not just for the food, but the close quarter setting too.

Worst Delivery Service in NYC
It's one thing if you want to eat Quantum Leap's mediocre food as an order to stay or as a pick up order, but NEVER.. I repeat.. NEVER order from Quantum Leap as a delivery order. The food was delivered cold, and arrived over 2 hours after the order was initially placed. On top of that, half of the items were missing and when I called to get them correctly delivered they ignored my calls. All this for a restaurant with food that is so-so at absolute best? Not worth it, my recommendation is to find any one of the thousand other health-food restaurants within 3 blocks of this place, you'll be glad you did.

Great.
Absolutely fabulous. I've been going to Quantum Leap for over 12 years. The dumplings are fantastic as are the non- meat entrees. The miso soup is also great. For those with a sweet tooth, the peanut butter soy milk-shake is the best ever. Highly recommended.

So-So
It's reasonably priced and a cozy atmosphere, but the vegetables aren't so fresh and the food isn't so tasty. A little on the greasy side. No comparison with other vegetarian restaurants in the village, that are similarly priced.

Not as good as the other location
I have been going to Quantum Leap for four years, mostly visiting this location on Thompson St. The last time I ordered takeout here, the food was sub-par in comparison to the food at 1st Ave. The grilled vegetables were flavorless, the ginger dressing had a strange, overly sweet flavor (compared to past visits), and the salad was made of limp greens, soggy carrots, and the palest tomato I have ever seen. I am sad to report that it was no good, like I said, I have been a loyal Quantum Leaper for a long time. They have also taken a couple of really great things off the menu, for example, the Ranch Chik'n sandwich. Quantum Leap has a great history in the village for macrobiotic food at a reasonable price, I think they would benefit from trying to use more locally-produced vegetables, instead of relying on obviously not-so-fresh sources.

The best brunch in the City
Pancakes, Waffles, Eggs... Everything is delicious in this small, cozy and friendly restaurant. Nothing pretentious, just great, fresh, tasty and healthy food for everybody. The service is the best: Friendly, attentive, fast and with an honest smile. We love this place! Also try the vegetarian burger. One of the best I ever had, and the french fries... awsome!
