I have been going here for years but they are not paying attention anymore. I guess they made there money and it doesnt matter anymore. Reminds me of the Millennial generation........the staff and mgmt feel entitled and no need to give good service or food. Example: I asked for a manager to come to the table and he never arrived even though I had to send my steak back twice to kitchen because of temperature problems. It gets better, we ordered a cheese plate for dessert but the server comes back and tells us it was after 11pm and the cheese station closed. I guess the kitchen is only for hot food? We approached the manager on the way out informed him of these issues and others and this overly seasoned mgr responded the concept is good and been working well for years and there is no changing it. Arrogance is not a good attribute in the service industry. They wont change but I will definitively change my eating habits and never go back to Quality Meats.

I've probably been to Quality Meats a dozen times, but this most recent visit was really awful. They are clearly having issues. Service (particularly bar service) was ridiculously slow, and the food was simply off. Softshell crab (admittedly a special and not a regular item) was horribly salty and just plain bad. They knew there was a problem because a manager asked us twice if everything was ok. Now they just need to fix it.

Took some clients out to dinner with my husband on a Sunday. Some of the staff clearly has an attitude, but the food is excellent & management as well as the hosts at the door are so sweet and really made us feel welcome. LOVE the gnocchi with cheese, & the tomato salad!!! Ate with a vegetarian client who loved it too! And of course...the ribs & my filet were excellent. Definitely going back.

I am a big steak eater and always trying new spots. This one was one of the best in NYC. The restaurant is so beautifully set up and perfect for small or large groups. The service was excellent. We had someone coming over to give us every little thing we needed - sauces, bread, the right forks, etc. It was a Monday night and the place was packed so I can imagine that on weekends things could possibly get a little nutty in here. And the food - the Bone in Sirloin was heaven! The beautiful homemade steak sauce was a perfect blend of spices and essence. In addition, the creamed spinach and blooming mushrooms were a treat. To top it off the Sticky Toffee Cake was to die for. I will go here again & again & again & again...

The service kind is poor. The food runner is way better than the waiter, the managers are just looking lost in the center of the dinning room I finish my meal 10 minutes ago and my plate still looking @ me, the Rib Steak not so good, the Lobster was missing butter, the bread was too salty, the grill potatoes too greasy, the oysters delicious that was the bright part of the evening, I'm still here waiting for dessert and hoping is good.

I eat out alot and always check reviews of restaurants before I go - I am always interested to see what the people who frequent places think first-hand, which is why I wanted to write this review. I tried Quality Meats this week for dinner and must say I was very, very happy with the overall experience. The wait staff was very friendly and helpful - made some great suggestions on sides, apps, dinner choices. I had the 3 filet choice as my entre and it was cooked the way steak should be. And lets just say I eat MUCHO steak - more than my arteries really appreciate - I order it, I eat it, I cook it, I grill it - and I have had plenty of bad steak in my day. This was not of that category. It was nice to be able to appreciate good food and enjoy the experience of it. The baked oyster appetizer was amazing. The creamed spinach was to DIE for. The Quality Potato was this twice baked yummy heap - we couldn't even make a dent. I wish I had room for dessert but that was a no go. I would absolutely suggest this to a friend to try, and go back myself. It was Quality as far as I was concerned. I'll put this on the list of Great Steak experiences. That list is getting shorter every time I look at it!
