I ordered delivery, having hope that it could be possible to get a California style Burrito, delivered in NYC. Well I was very mistaken, especially when thinking I could get it from Qdoba. Our burritos arrived freezing cold, I had to heat them up and snack on the chips and salsa while I waited. Well that would not be so bad if the chips and salsa were not inedible cardboard and slop. Followed by a bunch of flavorless ingredients sloped into a flour tortilla. The search for a good burrito continues.

Great tex-mex, healthy and Clean
So I decided to give Qdoba a chance, I work in the area and am always looking for good Mexican/Tex-mex food. I have ordered from here 3 times already in the past 2 weeks, and wanted to give a review: the food here is great. It is NOT scary, the chicken is real chicken, the ingredients are fresh, and my delivery, each time, arrived between 10-30 minutes. The guacamole hasn't been put through a blender and pulverized into frothy ick- instead, it is a wonderfully hand-mashed tasty thick delicious dip/spread. I ordered the fajita burrito, and all of the additions (corn salsa, cheese, roja salsa) were free, I wasn't charged. Additionally, on my first order I was sent a coupon (for future orders, of course) for a free chips and salsa of choice. I continue to use this with each order, the delivery guy always tells me to keep it. I ordered a burrito stuffed to the rim and the chips and salsa (free) and a side of guacamole and my total came out to $9.24. Where else can you get that? And not be scared you are eating dog? or leftover bones and fat? The food here is FRESH, tasty, and I trust that veggies have been washed and care was put into my food. Obviously, this menu was placed in the "keeper" pile at my desk. Yum!

Expensive vegetarian taco
After dining at Chipotle numerous times, I decided to give their competitor a try. Qdoba's food, decor, structure, workers, are look very similar to Chipotle. One difference though is the price. I ordered the salad and immediately the individual skipped the rice and went straight to asking me which type of beans I wanted. I stated I wanted rice and he abruptly said it costs money. What!!??? Rice is extra? Once he said 99 cents, I laughed and told him no. (These companies purchase 100 lb bags of rice for around $35 which allows a serving of rice to cost .04 cents.) I then told him I wanted veggies. Guess what? Those cost $1.49. Hahaha. I ordered them because I needed something on there. Then got to the salsa where I finally breathed a sigh of relief because I was positive these cost nothing. Wrong.....the mango salsa was one dollar extra. When I looked up at the menu quickly I could not see any prices listed so I asked to speak to a manager. After complaining about the prices, he said, "I am suppose to charge you for the beans too." Wow! So a taco salad is lettuce, salsa (but not the mango salsa) and the shell with cheese. EVERYTHING else costs extra. I'm not going to complain about the food. The shell was crispy with no lingering oil on the shell. The guac tasted delicious and everything else was good. The problem though is that Chipotle does not charge for guac (when you order vegetarian option) nor do they charge for rice. To sum it up, the food at Chipotle and Qdoba are basically the same but Chipotle is considerably less money.

awful delivery and rude service
I generally like qdoba, but today was a mess. I ordered on seamlessweb and the food took an hour. I called the restaurant to ask if the food was on its way and the rude lady who answered was unaplogetic and rude and said "oh yeah, he left half an hour ago". so i was worried food would be cold. i live a few blocks from the store. she said they had a special box for that and dismissed me. of course the food was completely cold and the tacos were about half full. This location is pretty bad and the food is below average. Too bad. I have had much bigger and better tacos at other Qdobas.

Average
we ordered delivery from here and it was ok. the quessadillas were good but the chicken taco was bland. the guac has A LOT of lime citrus in it (i'm guessing they do this so it won't turn brown) and the cheese dip was dissapointing. very fast delivery though.
